Hotel is a lot less expensive than many of the same type, rooms are basic enough but comfortable with everything you need, WiFi is very good for working in the evening. What the hotel lacks in style is greatly made up by the beautiful food & delightful staff.

Comfortable hotel just off the main high street. Staff friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful, service was good but had to ask for a few small things like sugar, butter and a knife. Little things I know! Hotel is pet friendly. Free parking. Some good pubs nearby and restaurants.

Stayed here for 1 night new years day. Read previous reviews to coming here, but it did not stand up to the recommendations of positivity. Even though the place was clean, it lacked charactor and was very overpriced. As we had a dog, we found it difficult to find dog friendly hotels in Ireland. We were placed in a back room, which was closterphobic and had no view. For what we paid it was not good and we were travelling in the morning to the ferry and we had a breaskfast bag, which was below standard. Also in the morning we saw a cute little mouse in the hallway. Disapointed.

Very clean and comfortable. Room, bed and shower all very good quality. Breakfast good. The real gem here is the staff who are very friendly and helpful. A little far from city centre for walking but a short enough taxi journey

We have just returned from this hotel after attending a rugby match, excellent location , staff and amenities. Delicious cooked breakfast, tasteful adjoining bar with an excellent selection of drinks. We unfortunately had an incident which had nothing to do with the hotel these guys ensured all our needs were met and went above and beyond. From the reception staff, bar and manager we can't thank you enough for your assistance. The area is fantastic with some beautiful shops, restaurants and bars, we would definitely stay and recommend. Another plus is having their own secure carpark. Well done Uppercross and thank you again. Gary & Paula Morgan William & Lorraine Mcfarland.

Stayed here for a wkend break, hotel in a good location but not suitable for older people as stairs... couldn't go into the bar even tho we were residents we were told tables would have to be booked ... but yet lots of students could go in and out so we were not impressed with this. Seemingly booked up all wkend which I belive ain't good esp as residents should come first... first morning breakfast was not great if I'm honest second mornings much better... staff are absolutely lovely people warm and welcoming. This hotel I belive more suitable for younger people or people who don't mind crowds gathering and noise.

Excellent check-in and safe secure off road parking. Very clean tidy room with tea coffee and water bottles. Great shower - much better than more expensive hotels in Kinsale a few weeks earlier. 10/10 for that. We ate in their atmospheric restaurant next door and they were very pleasant - the food however was very poor indeed after all the good reviews it can only be described as the chefs day off - absolutely no cooking skill was involved in heating up our meal and covering it with horrendously hot chilli sauce. My wife's chicken Kiev was no better either. Neither meal was finished and the young waitress informed and not even an apology. That said the breakfast was excellent. Moral of our stay is to stay over but do not dine there - there seemed to be some very nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity - use them. Sorry but a chef is only as good as his last meal - it's a pity that they decided not to actually cook.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here Saturday night. The customer service was exceptional, the room was spotless and quiet, the parking was great, and the food both in the bar and for breakfast was superb. Overall 10/10. We will definitely be back.

Stayed for three nights , quite and clean hotel, staff were polite and helpful. Free parking and the room overlooked the car park which was secure , the room was clean and tidy with fast free WIFI .The breakfast was good and Raul was very pleasant. There is a restaurant/pub next door which is handy and other bars and restaurants close by.
