This was an unplanned stay, booked early morning and checked in two hours later. Had to move out of the hotel we were staying in due to the racket being made by the builder’s renovating the place. Checking in was a very pleasant experience and Rosilex could not have been more helpful, I had a car so parking is around the corner for €18 for 24 hrs in the heart of Dublin. She offered to meet me at the entrance of the car park if need be. Entry to the Alex Court car park seems complicated, it’s not, and 3 min walk to hotel door!!
Room comfortable and great shower. Less than 10 minutes walk to Grafton Street passing Trinity on route. Fab hotel and we will be back. Hotel and Rosilex made a great impression in an unexpected stay.

You will not find a better experience than at the Davenport. The staff is incredibly welcoming and generous with their hospitality. Location is excellent. Close to shops, pubs and restos, Trinity and the train. The rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. The windows seal like vacuums so the room was quiet and peaceful. The in-house bar and restaurant are lovely and the bartender a master at his craft. Five stars all around. We will be back!!

Stayed at the Davenport for 5 nights in an Executive king room. The room was nicely sized and the bed was huge (seemed much larger than a standard US king.) Location was good, very quiet at night and never felt unsafe but might not be good for those with trouble walking - it's about 15 minutes to Temple Bar area or over to the train station, We had some trouble regulating the thermometer - it was either too hot or too cold. Breakfast was included in our room rate and we ate in the hotel about 4 mornings - food was good and they did a good job replenishing it. Tip - you can ask for a to go box and for coffee/tea to go, they'll also make you specialty coffee if you ask. Front desk staff were very helpful and ordered cabs for us twice and one got my husband a carafe of milk for coffee in the morning as we'd used the creamers in our room and were heading out before breakfast and wanted to make coffee in our room. I'd definitely stay here again but wouldn't get the room with executive lounge access - there weren't many snacks and we didn't take advantage of the beer or wine.

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough from the moment we arrived until we left the service was absolutely brilliant, Daniel at reception was outstanding and every other member of staff we encountered during our stay, which sadly was only one night, were so helpful, polite and extremely professional. A really good team that seemed genuinely happy in their work.
Apart from the excellent service the hotel itself was perfect for us great location walking distance to everything in the Grafton Street area and National Gallery right on your doorstep. The room itself was generous in size, tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, it had everything you could need and a super comfy bed. The buffet breakfast was very good I usually shy away from these as they can tend to be canteen..ish food left sitting for hours and dried out etc. But not here everything I ate was great so fresh, beautifully presented and you had the option of eggs cooked to your choice great coffee too.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay will definitely come back.

Lovely hotel in Dublin in a great location within walking distance of all the major sights and attractions. Lobby area really nice and staff helpful. The hotel have private parking at 18 EUR per day within a 5 minute walk which was very handy. Our triple room was lovely and spacious. Only negative was the size of our bed in the room which seemed very small (I'm 5ft 4 and my feet were handing off the end strangely!).

We were moved to The Davenport after booking at The Mont, a sister hotel that was closing for maintenance during our trip. We were not offered a refund on the difference in price despite The Davenport having been a couple hundred euro cheaper at the time of booking months before. Breakfast at the hotel was a comedy of errors and our room, despite requesting it be serviced, was left unattended. We travel frequently to Dublin and will not be booking with Callaghan Hotel Group in the future.

From Rose at the front desk managing our reservation to Leo the IT expert who helped us manage our Firestick hook up to allow streaming our Netflix, the staff goes above and beyond. The food in the resturant for lunch and dinner was excellent. I had fish chowder and my husband had chicken curry, both were well priced and tasty. The hotel is quiet, elegant and there are no children racing around to create a bit of chaos. I love children but after a 14 hour overnight travel, I am ready for peace and quiet. The Davenport has everything we needed to help us rest and overcome jetlag. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with breakfast items and beyond. I tried the porridge which came with a shot of Irish whiskey and clotted cream! All excellent …

The week prior we stayed at the sister property The Alex and walked across the street to The Davenport to check in. This was smooth and seamless. Reception was great and accommodating and Rosalex (sp) was fantastic. The stay started out great but ultimately, housekeeping let this property down.

We brought up several times that they were not properly cleaning our room (or cleaning it at all). This in spite of us leaving the "service room" tag on the door. Although we continued to bring this up, the service didn't change. We brought some of our own coffee pods to the room and they removed these even, which is pretty outrageous. At The Alex, the experience there was the complete opposite, with exceptional housekeeping.

Location is great and the building is beautiful, but if you were going to stay in this area, skip The Davenport and book The Alex

Nearly everything was fine. Maybe you should put some functional Hairdryers in the rooms and also some toilet brushes in the bathrooms.
The breakfast was very good and your employees were very nice.
Our bathroom wasn´t that clean when we arrived, but the following days it was good.

We chose to use The Davenport as our home base for 4 nights in Dublin. The location was nice and everything about the stay was just fine. After 2 weeks in Ireland we had stayed in numerous hotels, houses and castles - all of which were memorable and remarkable in some regard (ex. room view at Ballynhinch Castle, breakfasts and hospitality at Castlewood House in Dingle, friendliness at Susan Daly's in Doolin, service at the Park Hotel in Kenmare ...). There was nothing particularly wrong about The Davenport - the room was clean, staff efficient, bar was lovely. Yet there was nothing that was particularly noteworthy. Next time we are in Dublin I would likely choose to pay a bit more to be at The Merrion (looks like the right size / level of service) or The Westbury (a bit large but the location is close to great shopping / dining). Overall - The Davenport is a very nice place to stay.
