I chose this place because it was close to the bus station. It had good reviews so I had high expectations... which I guess made my disappointment even greater. The B&B had a good location but the room was.. really dirty. There was a crack in my wall (maybe an earlier guest kicked it in, it looked horrible) and the...

My husband, brother and I went to stay in the Anchor for 3 nights in October 2011. - mainly to see the Dublin that we missed 50 years ago when students. It was a windy, wet evening and we were greeted with "Welcome!" and sat by the coal fire in the large drawing room! What better way to start to...

I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Dublin for the first time. This accommodation (not really a 'B&B', since one of those 'B's isn't included) has some strong points: it is near-centrally located on the North Side, is easily accessible by Airlink bus and is quite affordable. The location is very noisy, which may pose a problem for non-city-dwellers;...

This is very centrally located and has a small car park at the back which must be booked and paid extra for. Our room was adequate but unfortunately had no toiletries in the bathroom (including soap) which, as we stayed two days could have been rectified but wasn't. All the staff were very friendly.

The rooms were somewhat small, but for the price they were good value and very clean. I don't remember the name of the lady we dealt with, but she was very helpful. Main gripes about the accommodation were the shower cubicle, ridiculously small and the car park, which i had to pay extra for and pre-book. It took me 3...

Stayed for 3 nights and would never return again. Room decor was dated, the room itself was small and claustrophobic, only space for a bed and no space to unpack a suitcase. Bathroom was even smaller, shower only. My major problem with the room was that the plumbing was very poor. Basically, the toilet did not flush due to poor...

Could not fault this BnB. Great location, just off O Connoll Street, very near all shopping areas ie Grafton st and Henry St. Very central location. Rates were very reasonable. Stayed for 2 nights. Staff very friendly and accomodating and did everything they possibly could to help with anything. Rooms were spotlessly clean along with all areas of BnB. Will...

We stayed our first night in Ireland at the Anchor House - I will start with the positives...the proprietors were very nice and helpful - and the location was great. All the B & B's we stayed at had small rooms - this was very small and very dated. Was disappointed and would say the Anchor House is just adequate....

My husband and I stayed one night at the Anchor house. It was in a great location-within walking distance of Trinity and many bars and restaurants. We were able to take the subway (Luas, I believe it was called) to other locations and it was very close and simple. The staff was very nice and even helped us get our...
