Perfect location for your stay in Dublin. Top location for a visit of all places of interest in Dublin. Cosy guesthouse ! We are regular customers. We did several hotels and guesthouses in Dublin in the past, but since several years we return to Anchor guesthouse, because of the friendly staff, good location. Cosy guesthouse !!!

We picked this place for our first night's stay of our Ireland trip. The location is very good, right off O'Connell Street with no more than a couple of hundred meters to multiple restaurants, pubs and stores. There also is public transportation going from O'Connel Street, allowing quick access to temple bar and all the important areas of Dublin. Though...

Located right by the Customs House, the Anchor House Dublin sits in a great location for those who want to be far enough from Temple Bar and City Centre to avoid the noise and ruckus, yet close enough to get to those places in a 10 minute walk. In fact, a lot of Dublin is only a ten minute walk...

Perhaps we were the victim of popular concert taking place in Dublin on the night of our stay, but we paid 179 EUR for a double room and breakfast that would not be more than 50 EUR due to its central location. Poor lighting in the room, the smallest television I have seen since the 1980s, no offer of assistance...

We recently completed a 3 week vacation during which we around the entire island of Ireland. Over 20 nights we stayed in 18 different Bed & Breakfasts, paying between €50 to €80, and £60 to £65 in Northern Island. This review is based upon the relative merits of Anchor House with respect to others that we visited. Anchor House is...

This hotel has generally good reviews so it came as a great surprise to find upon arrival that breakfast is NOT included if booked through certain websites and at €8pp is expensive in an area with many cheaper alternatives. Our room looked onto some kind of loading area where truck movements and activity started at 6:00am and was loud. Minor...

Outstanding value and excellent location 1 block from bus station and close to city center. We just completed a 3-day stay here. The hotel is very well-maintained and has a comfortable and homey feel. Our room was clean and quiet. We thought staff were unusually pleasant and helpful, as well as eager to please. The traditional Irish breakfast was great....

The staff were very kind and attentive. The house was beautiful, yet homey. Welcoming front parlor with cozy fire. Grandfather clock chiming in the hallway. Enjoyed the full Irish breakfast that was part of the room rate. Very convenient for all the places we wanted to visit on foot. Would definitely stay there again.
