A great hostel in Dublin. Barnacles lies next to the famous "Temple Bar" itself, but remains a clean and nice hostel to stay in. Stuff members are extraordinary friendly and help everytime a question occurs. Rooms and beds have good quality and are cleaned every day.

Very friendly staff, easy to check-in and out. The location of this hostel is ideal for visiting the temple bar street. The room was clean with your own shower and bathroom. The breakfast needs a bit more variety.

Great staff, has what you need and attracts international clientele. We booked a double room, had 1 set of bunk beds. Mattress was firm but gave enough so we could sleep. The pillows were flat, hard and if your in need of comfort bring your own. The temperature in the room was hot and the window was ceiling mount opening...

This was a great place! It was the first hostel I ever stayed in, and set the bar really high! The beds were a little hard, but they had ample plugs, and the 8-bed room had it's own bathroom/shower. It was clean and very welcoming!

Perfect location for exploring Dublin, very comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly. Good recommendations for local pubs/restaurants (avoid drinking in Temple bar if you're a student as v expensive) Very good value especially as it included breakfast (although breakfast was not extensive but good for the price)

One of my favorite hostels. I love the location right in Temple Bar. The staff was amazing, they even remembered my name when I came back to the hostel after traveling around Ireland for 10 days. I will be back as soon as possible!

Pros: Most rooms are ensuite, good breakfast included, wifi throughout hostel, great lockers, friendly and helpful staff. Bed was very comfy, good reading light. Easy access and centrally located. Cons: only one girls-only dorm, quite a small stuffy room (it got hot), bathroom floor easily flooded. Quite a bit of stairs so not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. I...

Fantastic location! It is the place to be if you want to go out, meet new people and have fun in Temple Bar. At nights can be noisy till 1.30-2.00 but that has to be expected...if you wish to stay so close to this area... The room and bathroom are clean but small and there is no space for luggage...
