I was a bit wary being a "hostel virgin" so to speak and also given I'm 48. The price was incredibly cheap for a 4 bed dorm (approx 70 euro for each of the 4 of us) for a 3 night stay. We arrived before check in and the staff were happy to store our cases securely. Up in our...

Barnacles has been our sleeping point in Dublin since we first visited the city in 2015. Staff members are wonderful. They're always there no matter what you need. We usually travel in big groups. We were 16 this time and 2 of them required lactose-free milk. Checking-in at 3pm, the milk was ready for us for breakfast the morning after....

Central. Can be noisy. Staff helpful. Steps not too good if physically not fit or have leg/foot injuries. Bunk beds safety railing entry space would be an issue for large people. Pillows are flat. Rooms can be cool. Would stay again cos so central

Perfect location! The rooms are warn down, they really need to be renovated. Bathrooms/toilets are filthy and tiny. Staff is nice and helpful. It is cheap and has a great location, just use it for that. It is not plesant, no nice decor and not clean/tidy.
