Really looking forward to staying here after such a messy year for everyone! Just really wanted to go and stay somewhere not too far and have a really nice dinner and a few drinks. The "missed moments" package is what we selected and for that you get your room a 3 course meal from a set menu, 2 glasses of bubbly, 2 cocktails and a bottle of house wine. This to us was the perfect deal for our 1st night away again. I rated this review 3 out of 5 for the following reasons, but let me be absolutely clear. This is not!!!! A reflection on the staff who were lovely and very helpful. We went to bed that night and unfortunately we could here a couple from down the hall have a massive argument which kept us awake. I was suprised at this but not being away for a while and everyone trying to do the same I suppose this happens. It's just unfortunate everyone else on the floor had to hear what was going on. Breakfast the following morning was delayed due to the fire alarm going off and cutting out the power to the has in the kitchen. The staff did there very best to accommodate everyone and yes! As a result of this there was a long delay for the food but again a problem that was nobody's fault. These things happen. For our 1st night away after so long not being able too I suppose things could of gone smoother but it was still a lovely dinner and really nice hotel. Everything worked in our room and in times when places are struggling to find there way again this hotel done an amazing job with the special package deals and how friendly and professional the staff were. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to just get away for a night and have a nice dinner and few drinks with your partner.

Thank you for your detailed review on The Mayson. We are delighted to read that overall you enjoyed your time here with us and particularly our service. Our team do strive to exceed all our guests expectations. As is the case with all businesses, the greatest advertising we can aspire to is that of word-of-mouth from satisfied customers. Our guest feedback is very important to the overall running of our hotel and affords me the opportunity of reviewing and improving the hotel’s facilities and service. It was most disappointing that a small number of guests decided to over- indulge on the first weekend after lockdown, but I would like to reassure yourself and others, that our Security & Nights Team dealt with these issues as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining a fine balance. My sincerest apologies for the delays you experienced at breakfast, but thank you for being understanding about these delays due to the gas issues mentioned. I look forward to hopefully being able to personally welcome you back to the Mayson in the near future and would like to ask you to contact me for your next booking.. Kind Regards Russell Hadley General Manager gm@themayson.ie

Would not recommend, paid 450 euro for a room with no air con. Bathroom door wouldn’t close, waited an hour and a half for breakfast the following morning. Not sure if it was teething problems with being closed for so long but I was not impressed with my stay for the money I paid.

Thanks for a fantastic night away. The building was spotless and felt very covid-safe. The rooms are beautifully decorated, loved the vinyl and comfy beds. Really enjoyed our meal/drinks in Ryleigh's and relaxing in the pool the next morning. Staff are amazing - everyone couldn't do enough for us especially the team at the front desk! Looking forward to returning for a gig in the 3Arena as soon as we can!

We arrived and the staff at reception were very off putting not warm at all. The room was small but fair enough as small double was in the description, my boyfriend is 6’4 and he couldn’t move in it. The sweets in the room were all stale and clearly out of date, no light over the bed was working and when we asked to move the lights weren’t working in the second room either. There was only one robe in the room, we got another sent up and they were extremely rough and very small. The pool was lovely no complaints The room was unclean with dust everywhere and very crammed full with unnecessary items leaving no space for any belongings. The woman at reception was continuously rude and made us feel as though we were a nuisance asking for the robe or to enquire about the lights. Do not recommend, don’t visit here or waste your money way too expensive for the experience we got

Hi EmlouK212 - We're truly sorry to read of the issues encountered during your stay with us. I assure you this is not the usual standard we aspire to at The Mayson. We pride ourselves on creating beautiful inspiring spaces with the friendliest service. We're glad that you at least enjoyed our beautiful pool area. We'd love to investigate further if you are in a position to reach out to us direct with details of your reservation? Looking forward to a resolution. Dave L
