First time staying here, great location just minutes from Stephen's Green and Grafton Street. The rooms are small, but spotless and staff are friendly and helpful. Ask for a room at the back as they're quieter. I know accommodation in Dublin is expensive at the moment, but I did think the rates for the Albany were very pricey, although it's a nice place to stay, it is basically a guest house and not a hotel.

Stayed here to attend a concert in Dublin. I booked on the strength of positive reviews which I feel are misleading. This hotel is in a lovely old building and could be splendid but is in dire need of refurbishment. Initial impressions were not good as the carpet on the stairs was grubby and in need of cleaning and/or replacement. It looks like it has been cut and laid by a 5 year old (see photo). The room we were in had recently had a bathroom upgrade which was nice, clean and modern. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the room itself. Drab decor and furnishings, no wardrobe, only a rail to hang clothing. The carpet clearly had not been hoovered and the room was dusty. On a plus note the bed was comfortable. We could hear a lot of noise from a nearby club/pub late at night. The breakfast was fair with cold meats and slightly stale cheese, fresh fruit and cereal. There was no toilet roll in the toilet adjacent to reception. All staff we encountered were polite, helpful and friendly. Location is good for Grafton Street area. Half hour walk to Aviva stadium. Overall disappointing and expensive for what is offered. Wouldn't stay again.

Quaint small hotel near St. Stephen’s Green and close to everything. The comfortable beds and pillows were well-appreciated. Breakfast is more than Continental, with fruit, ham, cheeses, cereals, pastries, and juice. We appreciated the good breakfast before going to explore Dublin. The staff was extremely helpful, especially since we had to move our reservations twice - from 2020 to 2021 and finally 2022. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for someone who wants a slice of nostalgia and not stay in a typical hotel.

The location of this hotel is excellent, easy walking to most of the must-see attractions. The staff were really helpful, our room was huge with a very comfortable bed, and the continental breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Dublin.
