I felt at home here within one day. The owners are extraordinarily kind, accommodating, and full of an authentithism that was a harbringer of my entire trip. The breakfast meals were delicious and kept me throughout the day. I loved my room, which was warm and comfortable. It was quick and easy to take public transit to and from the city center and in fact, it was wonderful to return to this calm respite after touring all day. I will return again to stay at Aberdeen Lodge with friends and family in the future without hesitation. I can't speak higher of this lodging

We stayed at Aberdeen Lodge for three nights and the experience was excellent. The location, outside of central Dublin, has local bus service adjacent and the Dart is nearby and within easy walking distance. The facility is charming and comfortable, and our room was clean, spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast menu was varied and excellent and our hosts were friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for more.

The owners and staff were so nice and friendly. We had the best welcoming and the standards never dropped from there. We had the best nights sleep in comfortable big beds, and it was so quiet in the hotel and area.
The breakfasts were so yummy and you get so much at a great quality.
Only 20 mins on a bus into central Dublin and the stop is right next to the hotel.
They have the cutest dogs Sandy and Robin who we played with in the garden.
There’s nothing we didn’t love about this hotel and we will definitely want to come back when we come back to Dublin. We were sad to leave!

Fantastic hotel with a beautiful, well-kept garden. Marvelous hospitality. Terrific adorable owner Ann and young staff take care of you like family as well as the cutest dogs Sandy and Robin and cat Coco which add to the homely atmosphere of this hotel.
Thanks to the provided feeders in the garden, one can observe most of Ireland's birds which enjoy the hospitality of the animal loving and generous owners.
Very comfortable, well-maintained, spacious rooms with tea and coffee making facilities in room.
The breakfast is first class and delicious with a wide selection ranging from fresh fruit, granola and local yoghurt to scrambled eggs with Irish smoked salmon, all freshly prepared, home baked bread included. Ann also provided tasty takeaway breakfast when I needed to leave for bus tours before breakfast was served.
The location couldn't be more perfect. Only about 20 minutes on a bus or short 10 minutes ride on DART (train) into central Dublin and the stop is right next to the hotel which is the perfect place to stay while exploring the city and its surroundings. The village of Sandymount is a charming suburb, a green, quiet and safe neighborhood.
I've enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Aberdeen Lodge and will definitely return as soon as possible.

A very nice accommodation in a quiet residential area. Very tastefully furnished and well maintained. The hostess takes her time and gives valuable tips about the surrounding area and the city center. The highlight was the lovingly prepared breakfast.

I booked the place at random because it had prices lower than the ones in the centre and most of all because it seemed to promise a more homey atmoshpere.
The place delivered everything it portrayed on their website and other sites.
A huge bonus for me: it is a place where the owners live as well with their children, the cat and two fabulous retrievers. My room was on the top floor and as there is no lift since the place is an old villa,I nicely worked off all the food I had on a particular day. They only offer breakfast but the choice is very good. Dining room and the sitting room feel like a bit of Downton Abbey on a smaller scale.
The owners were helpful with adapters and umbrellas, ready to chat and provide reliable info about everything a first time traveller would wan to know. There is a lovely terrace and the back garden to relax. The room was lovely and cosy, the only thing to work out is how to use the sink because there are two fossets and washing your face requires both of them to mix the temerature of the water in the sink but that is the charm of the isles. The person who expects everything to be as at home should stay at home.
The village is called Sandymount and has a few nice pubs to get good food. Local transport from the place to the city is easy and frequent and the area very safe. I walked well past midnight from the centre of the village on my last night ( because the taxi driver could not find the lodge) to my hotel and felt as safe as if I were in my hometown.
If you do not mind commuting to the centre everyday this is a lovely place to stay, heartily recommended. I will definity come back.

A fantastic hostess in a cozy guesthouse-like hotel. Breakfast menu out of the ordinary. Standard in the rooms of an older design but clean, neat and fresh. If you like dogs, you can probably become friends with the house's Golden retrievers.
Very helpful with tips and practical problems.
The hotel is located in Sandymount a stone's throw from the beach and a short walk from Sandymount village, a small center with shops, good restaurants and nice pubs. The bus to Dublin city center leaves right outside the hotel. From Sydney Parade station, you can easily get up and down the coast on the DART commuter train if you want to explore the surrounding area.

Very friendly and welcoming staff and owners. We got a nice welcome although we were late and arrived late. A cozy and quiet place, in an area that is suitable for tranquility and relaxation. Breakfast is good, with few dishes that are freshly made and not buffet.
Bus and train are located nearby - 2-6 minutes walk - and the trip to the center takes 15-20 minutes. Sandymount is a nice small village with a couple of cafes, restaurants and a pub.

What a great place. You cannot find a nicer place. Lovely rooms, a fantastic atmosphere created by Ann and her staff.
The breakfast was excellent and the living room was like being at home.
Within walking distance, there is both a bus and a train to the center - so here you get both the tranquility of a residential area and yet can be in the center in a very short time. It was the perfect accommodation for us. Many thanks to Ann and the staff, and the dogs Sandra and Robin.

Perfect Dublin experience from beginning to end. Traveling with my mother and wife to visit my son, we stayed at Aberdeen for four nights. Pat and Anne welcomed us immediately and made us a part of their home. The house is immaculately kept with many recent upgrades, the breakfasts are delicious, and the vibe is 100% Dublin. Showers are hot, bed is comfortable, location is quiet. The location is also perfect. They are 100’ from a bus, 1/3 mile from the train, and a short 5 min walk to the beach or village of Sandymount, her pubs, restaurants and a fantastic bookstore. Temple Bar is 20 min away. There is parking at Aberdeen if you rent, and of course you can book a rideshare whenever and wherever.

I would recommend contacting the B&B. Send an email. We made all of the dates we booked. Also, Ryan Air had some problems we read about. I would recommend verifying your reservation with them ASAP
