Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pat and Ann are the sweetest people, so accommodating and helpful. The house was lovely and cozy, not a bit stuffy, nor did it have a sort of smell. They air it out every day, and the room service is phenomenal! Anyone who wants to have a nice relaxing Irish visit should have this Air B&B at the top of their list. Remember to get the food, that is amazing as well! God bless these people for their kindness.

Wonderful stay here. Everything was pure luxury! Coffee brought up to our room everyday, laundry service, wine in the backyard, hosts and staff were fantastic. Excellent access to bus and train! Fell in love with their dogs and cat!

We were so happy to get a last minute reservation at this lovely lodge. We had traveled from Belfast and it was wonderful to be in the quiet and quaint village of Sandymount. The owner greeted us and we instantly felt right at home. The breakfasts were delicious ( esp the brown bread!) and of course the two beautiful retrievers were so fun to play with. The lodge was an easy walk to the DART and our last evening we walked into the town to have dinner at Crudo, an absolute must, do not miss it. Staying at the Aberdeen was a perfect way to end our trip to Ireland. You will not be disappointed if you decide to book a stay.

We began and ended our recent Ireland vacation at the Aberdeen Lodge and we are so glad we did. It is a charming, spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained property in the elegant and historic Dublin suburb of Sandymont, with easy four-stop train service into the heart of Dublin. Warmly welcomed by knowledgeable Pat, we felt immediately at home. Service was impeccable, including easy and moderately priced laundry services. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and very clean. Breakfast was tasty with many dishes on offer. We look forward to coming back soon.

We can't wait to return to Dublin just so we can stay at the Aberdeen Lodge again. What a gem of a place!! The location is perfect, our room was wonderful, the freshly cooked breakfasts were perfection, and the owners and all of the staff were just the kindest and most helpful people we met during our travels. It was wonderful to be able to return to the quiet calm of Aberdeen Lodge after spending a day out in the hustle & bustle of the center of Dublin. Added bonus: getting to pet and play with Sandy & Robin because a bit of pet therapy is good for the soul.

Staying at the Aberdeen Lodge made my first visit to Dublin truly wonderful. It is not a purpose-built hotel, but a beautiful home built during the Edwardian period. It is gracious and serene. For those looking for a modern hotel with elevators and high-tech gear, this won't be a good fit for you. If you are looking for a place to unwind, feel surrounded by comfort and cosines and friendly , helpful staff and owners, you will be happy indeed. Like every other guest who checked in during the week I stayed at the Aberdeen Lodge, I was greeted by Ann, one of the owners. Other guests were greeted by Pat, her husband. We were all offered either tea or coffee. i opted for the tea, which was strong and delicious, and served in a beautiful silver tea pot. along with some stem ginger

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Aberdeen Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Sandymount during our trip to Dublin for a Bruce Springsteen concert at the RDS Arena. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay - the proximity to the arena was unbeatable, and the walk back through the lovely quiet neighborhood was a great way to unwind after the show. During our stay, we also enjoyed taking a ten-minute walk to the beach at Sandymount Strand, which was a beautiful and peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. And in the mornings, we woke up to the sounds of birds in the garden after a great night's rest on the incredibly comfortable bed. One of the highlights of our stay at the Aberdeen Lodge were the adorable dogs, Robin and Sandy, who

Our recommendation follows an enjoyable three night stay at Aberdeen Lodge where no detail was missed. Our room was quiet and comfortable, the Aberdeen team was top-notch, the Lodge was attractive and well-maintained, the neighborhood convenient to restaurants and transit--exactly what we were anticipating and more! We liked every person that we met there---both Aberdeen Lodge people and guests. Pat's connections are extensive and well-based, so he was able to arrange for us to return our car rental to a nearby Hertz location instead of driving it to the airport car hire facility. Thanks!

It's been an absolute pleasure staying at this gorgeous Edwardian hotel. The location is perfect: close enough to go to the centre by bus/car, but remotely enough to enjoy nature as well (sea & parks in walking distance!). I was warmly welcomed with tea and cookies by Pat (the owner) who took his time for a little chat and gave some explanation about where/how to go around in Dublin. Breakfast was delicious and it looks over a beautiful garden with two cute golden retrievers running around. Rooms were very clean and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. Pat and their entire team take care of you like family. Would highly recommend!
