This hotel is nice enough ,great location also right at the heart of Dublin. It has an old fashioned quality about it but not in the appealing vintage way ,more like it needs updating...It was very clean and the beds were comfortable though. I had a good stay overall however the

For the Mercantile, location is everything. You're in the noisy, party, boozy part of town. You're with your mates. You are not looking for subtlety, peace and quiet. If you are looking for refinement or interested in love, romance or higher culture ..go somewhere else.

LIke really, its near the temple bar area and is surrounded by a bunch of drinking places that would be usually crouded by people that wont let you sleep easily.
The breakfast options are poor - you will only have to choose 1 dish from the menue.

Hello, Is there parking available? Cheers Dave
Planning to do a two-night trip with my 23-year old son in May. We'd like to some of the downtown sites. The Mercantile seems to be well situated. Is there parking, and if we arrive in rental car from Belfast, is it easy enough to navigate to the hotel?
Hello Amber, Yes we are located in the ideal location if you are planning to visit popular sites in Dublin. We are across the road from the Central Bank and only a 2 minute walk from Trinity Collage and Grafton Street (Molly Malone Statue). We are also a short walk from Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin Castle, National Wax Museum, Dublin’s Science Gallery, Guinness Storehouse, St Patrick's Cathedral and many many more. If you are travelling by car we recommend Drury Street Car Park which is 2 minutes from the hotel.

Hello, thanks for getting in touch. If traveling by car we recommend Drury Street Car Park which is 2 minutes from the hotel. Please quote that you are staying at the Mercantile Hotel and wish to avail of the overnight rate which is €5.00 from 6.30pm – 10am. It costs €2.80 per hour after this time.

"I ordered platter and was told for 8-10 people. They were much bigger than expected and would definitely do 10-12 people. Lovely food!"
