Detailed Reviews
i have stayed her on numerous occasions both for Business and Pleasure . It is a great location just a few minutes walk from Temple Bar and just far enough away from the noise that comes with those busy streets . The hotel is a boutique type hotel with no two rooms the same It is clean warm and comfortable . It has its own bar with life music a few nights of the week . No car-park but most city center hotels don't . It has a preferential rate at a near by car-park but that can be hard enough to get into sometimes so you could end up paying a small fortune for overnight parking somewhere else . Highly recommend it

Travelled as a couple for a night away, fantastic location, easy to get to by bus from the airport and a short 2 minute stroll to the centre of Temple Bar. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and decent shower. The only downside was the level of noise, as our room was right above a bar we had the noise from that all night until the early hours. It wouldn't stop me from staying here again though.

This hotel is a decent stay for a short trip to Dublin. The location is good to see all the sites the city has to offer. The bedroom was a reasonable size with a lovely comfy double bed, bathroom was to expectations.
In general, it is need of a little TLC but this did not take away from my overall experience.
Would be staying here again on future visits to Dublin.

Easy access to everything! Great breakfast. Rooms were to be desired as they were dated. No views through the window...only noise. No choice but to keep windows open as it was very hot with no AC. Only reason I’d return is it was easy to navigate through the town via feet from here and we ate well. Laundry service shrink my clothes :(.

Stayed here last night. The good - fabulous location, friendly/helpful receptionist, very comfy bed.
The not so good - key e hintry card was a bit fiddly to get it to work, no sockets anywhere near the bed and when I got out of the shower this morning, the bathroom ceiling was dripping wet and had soaked the entire bathroom floor.
If these few things were sorted, I'd be more than happy to return.

After reading the reviews here I can't believe other people thought this hotel was great. When I read reviews I wonder what kind of hotels reviewers think are high quality and I find it hard to believe what they say...so to preface, I have higher standards and I enjoy nice hotels (4 and 5 stars) but I am not opposed to staying at not so wonderful hotels for unimportant trips but this was BAD!
We stayed here over New Years and were sadly disappointed. Granted some of the front desk staff were very nice but two people barely spoke English, which is difficult if you need to check people in. Our rooms were not ready when we arrived, which was fine, but they left our luggage in the lobby unattended. The bathroom in the lobby has been converted to their luggage storage and must have been full. Frankly, I dont know which option was worse.
The hallways are small and hard to navigate with luggage as there are steps up and down all along the hall to the rooms. The standard rooms vary in sizes and ours was tiny and dark. The bathroom was gross. There was mold and water damage above the sink. Two tiles in the floor were loose (see picture). One stabbed me in the foot as it popped up when I walked in there. The water pressure was good though. The bed...oh my..I could not sleep, it was extremely hard and the pillows were like bricks (plus you only get one each). In another room in our party, he didnt get a bed cover at all, and one was never brought up.
The noise we expected being New Years and that didnt even bother us, but I am sure it would bother a lot of others, just be prepared as the walls are very thin and you can hear conversations in other rooms and in the halls.
The only pluses about this hotel is the bar and the proximity to shopping and restarants. I would not stay here again. The Clarence down the street looked lovely.

The hotel's very own nightclub is situated on the ground floor of the hotel. I lay awake from 11pm until 2.30am due to seriously excessive noise. I went up to the top floor of the hotel and could even hear the music from there.
It was noise like I've never heard before. I could feel the bass through my pillow and the bath was making a buzzing noise as the low frequency sounds went through it.
The hotel staff did nothing about it despite me and other guests complaining.
The junior staff were empathatic and tried to be as helpful as possible, but the senior staff told me I should have stayed somewhere else if I didn't like it.
I genuinely would have slept better in a tent.
I will never stay in this hotel again.

Having organised the trip for 12 friends for 2 nights on 21 April 06 (ages ranged from late 30's ./ early 40's) I was v. nervous about what we would find on check in (based on a lot of negative reviews posted on this site) ..... I have to say (and we all agreed with this) that the hotel was great... I'd rang ahead and asked for rooms on the upper floors (as a lot of reviews had commented on the noise), which we were given ... The staff were v. friendly. I stayed in a triple room (room 402 - which I would def book again) .. huge room, lovely clean bathroom and even a v. small terrace with table and chairs on it. The only fault (and this is my being picky and a bit girly ) is that the room was a bit too dark to apply make up so had to use the bathroom but that really is the only thing I could fault the hotel on. The venue couldn't be better .. literally a stone's throw from Temple Bar .. so didn't have the hassle of flagging down taxis in the early hours. Breakfast was served until 10.30 so didn't have to get up too early .. the breakfast was fine (not the best I'd had but certainly not the worst) .. to summarise, I would def, def book this hotel again based on my experience of having stayed there .. that and because of the location and price, it is the only hotel I would book in Dublin for long w/ends away with friends..

After many memorable trips to Dublin, I can quite honestly say that my latest visit - staying at this hotel - has put me off going again!!
A group consisting of family and friends spent 3 days there last summer, and we were all disillusioned by various aspects of our stay.
As the bar was a public bar, it meant that there was nowhere for us to relax with the young people (late teenagers) of our party in the evening - something we weren't told on booking the hotel. This wouldn't have been too bad if the rooms were nice, but they were to be honest completely awful. They were too hot, dark, smelly and dirty with shoddy decor and grimy bathrooms. Several of us couldn't even open the window at night as the generator or fan above the kitchen was emitting steam, heat and a most unsavoury stench! Over 3 nights we hardly got any sleep due to doors slamming and people shouting within the hotel. The 'Do Not Disturb' sign was placed on our door every night, but it still didn't prevent the housemaids knocking loudly and even walking into our room while we were present - often before 8 in the morning!
One evening the staff in the bar were down right rude and insulting when asking one of our party if they were old enough to be there (he was 20!!).
I am hugely disappointed with the time we spent at the Paramount, and am sorry to say that it has tainted my view of Dublin as a short break location.

After reading reviews on Tripadvisor I phoned in advance to request a room on a high floor.
We arrived on a Tuesday and had been put in a room on the first floor right above the bar. I was a little concerned, but it was fine on the first night. On the second night the noise from the music downstairs was unbearable. I complained at reception & they offered to move us.
We moved to the highest floor the next morning & the remaining 3 nights were fine.
The hotel is better value than others in the area & is ideally placed so I would stay again for a budget break (on a higher floor).
Rooms pleasant & clean, breakfasts were excellent, staff friendly & helpful.

keep trying to call, if you call during the time people are checking in they normally check those people in first. There is a little asian lady that works the front desk, very nice but gets stressed easily.
