Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

During the riots The Gibson was the only hotel that helped me and my friend (both female 20 & 19). We were sitting outside attempting to get a taxi to the red cow and the men on the door came over to us to see if we were okay and told us to sit in the lobby while we waited as it was cold outside. We had previously seemed help from The Hilton Garden Inn and The Spencer but were refused. Delighted to get inside somewhere safe and off the streets can’t thank these men enough!!

We recently held a service award event at the Gibson Hotel. The staff there are brilliant. Peter from Events was really accommodating and helpful. Food was lovely as well. Overall a five start experience and our staff had a great time there. Highly recommended!

Overall this is a great hotel, spotless clean, fabulous breakfast, attentive staff and ideal location if heading to the 3Arena. We would definitely return and feel it's worth the money for the convenience of heading away for a night.

The best hotel in Dublin by a mile! This really is the best hotel by far. The best hotel with the best rooms and the best staff. The rooms are lovely, so modern and spacious. The breakfasts are the best hotel breakfasts you can get anywhere, so much variety and choice. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and make you feel at home from the minute you walk through the door. This hotel couldn’t be in a better location for both 3arena and the Luas Line. Perfect for you just to step out the door and be at the stop for the Luas Line! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else apart from here in Dublin, it’s perfect in every way. We stay in hotels all over the UK and Europe and nowhere beats here! We already can’t wait to return :-)

Excellent stay as per usual at the Gibson - one of my favorite Hotels. First time bringing my friend there for a girly weekend away and also attend a concert next door in the 3 Area. My friend loved the Hotel - from the comfortable room to the quirky designs in the public areas. Food and cocktails delicious as always - The Love Potion cocktail is my favorite. Room service last at night after the concert was quick and very convenient. Staff fantastic in all areas - special thank you for the security on the Front door after the concert. Very secure and always so friendly. Can't wait for my next stay.

I stayed here for one night recently. Very nice hotel, lovely staff in reception on check in. Rooms were well kept upon arrival with a bottle of bubbles waiting for me!. I didnt eat here but i did have some drinks that evening and there was a good atmosphere. Good location too! Definitely a good choice and fair price for what you get. Date of stay: November 2023

Stayed the night of a Shania Twain concert. Someone got into our room and left a mess while we were out. Don’t stay at this hotel it is not safe!! Staff seemed very laid back about the situation except for the head receptionist the next morning who apologised and gave a 50% discount. Still not good enough for two girls travelling themselves. Would not recommend and have told everyone we know to never stay there again

Ate here mid week in the bar area. Limited menu . But with a concert next door it was suitable for the early clientele. Served by numerous staff members. Mains were tasty and served promptly. Toilets were spotless. The hotel does look fab hopefully stay overnight the next time.

We stayed at the Gibson and its a very nice modern hotel with nice bed linens and amenities. What impressed us most was the wonderful and helpful staff. We would like to give a shout out to the following staff members who were most kind and helped us with information and in locating our luggage. Matias and Dannika were great. The duty manager, Dalaho Salimi went above and beyond giving excellent service and assistance. We gladly recommend this hotel which is also within walking distance to eating places and the tram is right in front of the hotel and takes you to downtown. Many conveniences right there!
