Chic and understated with a music pedigree that runs deep, the gibson hotel Dublin is the ultimate urban retreat. Music lovers, art junkies, food fanatics - whatever your passion it's right on our doorstep. We do sleeping, meeting, dining, gigging, touring, wedding and relaxing really really well. We mix all these things with a fresh, energetic, slightly off centre approach and we know it works. Exhibitions, supporting local artists, urban weddings and the odd celebrity are elements of what makes us different to the normal Dublin Hotel. You will find our staff friendly, responsive and happy - there is a secret to this that we can't possibly share. The gibson hotel is the ideal location to explore the city and planning your stay is easy. The M1 and M50 are 8 minutes away via the Port Tunnel and we have ample covered parking for our guests. With the luas stop right outside our front door Connolly train station is only 8 minutes away and Heuston train station is a short 20 minutes from the hotel. The Luas will take you to the City centre in 10 minutes or if you prefer to take in the views of the River Liffey a brisk 15 minute walk along the quays will bring you to O'Connell street, the heart of Dublin city. Great beds, 100MB complimentary WiFi, a gym, relaxation area, restaurant, bar and meeting space are all part of the deal. The gibson hotel is modern yet comfortable, it's different and it's better, it's large, it's friendly and it's a building that is alive with great people from the moment you set foot until the moment you leave.

Recently spent one night here. The hotel is modern & spacious. Upon arrival - the reception area lacks a personal atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant but the area needs to be made more comfortable & inviting, it felt like a temporary setup. Our room was a twin room - clean & modern. The bathroom had lovely shower with rain head, wardrobes had plenty of storage & hangers. Our room opened up onto a central courtyard which was nice to have some outside space. The courtyard area is a little tired looking, lots of cigarette butts scattered around, needs a good power hose along with a lot of de weeding. The restaurant was open, bright & spacious - again it lacked atmosphere. The manager was available & friendly. The food was served promptly & was very fresh & tasty. Overall - a pleasant stay.

Comfortable clean hotel room, lovely breakfast in the morning. Great tour of the dining area from Murtagh! Very close to the city center, easy access by luas or on foot. Beautiful sunny weather for our stay as well!

Room itself was nice but slightly underwhelming to be completely honest. Service was rather unsatisfactory - asked the staff member at reception for cello tape in order to put up a birthday banner in the room, and after not even looking for any, I was told they didn’t have any, which I find very difficult to believe. The lady serving us in the restaurant was lovely, but apart from that, the staff was not particularly helpful or friendly. Would not stay again.

My friends & I booked in to a family superior room for one night excited and expecting high standards. We checked in online for 3pm, which you would hope means the room would be ready by 3. However, I completely understand with the pandemic extra cleaning is required. We arrived at 4, our room was not ready we were told 20mins. So we went into the bar where one of your male staff asked if we had IDS? Even though we had not asked for drinks.. we simply entered the bar as we were advised to wait until our room was ready. We then went back to reception at 4.20 and were told it would be another 40mins. Kate, is an exception to your company. And if there would be any reason for me to go back, it would be her brilliant service. We advised we had a meeting elsewhere at 6pm that we needed to attend so Kate did arrange us a temporary room and asked if we needed any water etc brought up which was lovely. What we didn't understand from the housekeeping perspective is, why they couldn't have cleaned our room rather than putting us into a temporary room across from our then room, surely this means more cleaning for them? Kate then kindly dropped the keys upto our room for the new room. There was a stain on the lamp, perhaps this may need to be removed. The Aircon wasn't much cooler when switched on. The room however was nice and spacious. The pillow on the camper bed wasn't presentable. The breakfast was lovely in the morning great choice. Maja was brilliant also as originally my friends asked for bread to another staff member which was forgotten about (these things happen) but Maja was super efficient in bringing this over when we mentioned along with complimentary water. Your terrace is lovely and the overall maintenance of the hotel was well kept.
