Stayed for one night on a weekend, there were quite a few travelers around so it was nice to meet other people and the common areas/kitchen is nice. If you have a room along the street it can get quite loud but that is only because the hostel is located in such a great spot! Several bars and nightclubs as...

The best Dublin's pancake on Sunday morning and friendly service. My room was very clean. The staff was very kind and helpful to the demands. I had problems because my room was too close to the living room and I could hear the people talking late into the night! but, I believe, that I am too old to join the...

I really don't understand all of the positive reviews of this place. My husband and I still talk about how much of a nightmare it was. The reason we chose this hostel in the first place was because it had such great reviews but let me tell you, it was further from the truth for us. This hostel is right...

Although check-in wasn't until 2:30pm and we arrived mid morning, the staff at reception were very helpful and took our bags from us, and told us to help ourselves to breakfast and gave us some tips about where to explore for the day, or alternatively we were offered to join a walking tour organised by the hostel. The room, on...

When I first looked into this hostel I had my doubts due to some bad reviews on hostel world and trip advisor but I booked it anyway due to its extremely cheap price during the holidays. I've been backpacking across Europe and have stayed in many hostels over my 12 country tenure but was blown away when I arrived here....

I stayed for a week in a female dorm. It was not my first stay in this hostel and hopefully it won't be the last. I've been in many hostels in differnt countries, and in several hostels in Dublin, as well. Candem Place is the best. By far. Amazing value, in my opinion. The staff is so friendly, that it...

I stayed here for 6 nights and overall it was a good experience. As it's a hostel you can't expect anything fancy. We stayed in a double room with private bathroom. You are provided with towels but no hand towel or bath mat. The sheets were gross, thin and had pubic and other hair on them. Do not stay here...

This is a very nice hostel in the heart of Dublin. The staff is very kind and helpful and the gave us some good information about the city. The hostel is very clean and the rooms are great. We stayed in an ensuite double room.Really worth its value. The neighbourhood is a bit noisy with some funny drunk teens passing by at nights yelling...

When we arrived we found out that the manager had made an upgrade in our reservation, for free, what was so nice of him.The beds are reeeeally comfortable and the room and bathroom are clean. Some staff members are more friendly than others, but we didn't have any problems.

“We had a 4-people-room with bath, it is perfect for a family of four: we were on the top floor, it was really quiet even if the room was overlooking the main road (Camden Street). With closed windows we did not hear the traffic and had a great night sleep. If you like to have it even quieter, ask the staff for earplugs. We didn't need any, at any rate. We were very comfortable in our room.”
