My wife and i stayed here for four nights in total. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are nice and compact. The beds were rather uncomfortable and lumpy. Everything else in the room was spotless and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. For a Holiday Inn Express they provide a beautiful breakfast with many choices to satisfy anyone. Their choices at breakfast put every Holiday Inn Express in North America to shame for their choices and quality! I really recommend this hotel for its location and cleanliness, but do aware that if you are a very light sleeper there is a big pub/restaurant right next to the hotel and even though every room has double-pane windows you can still hear a vibrating thumping at night from the music being played at the pub. The hotel does provide earplugs in every room on your pillow when you arrive... so I guess they would help if you need them. Overall a very nice hotel, I just wish my bed was more comfortable in room 311.

We were on a budget and wanted a place that would be easy to get to by public transportation and centrally located. While they did not initially respond to my request for an early check-in, when we arrived in order to drop off the bags, they did allow us to go to our room. A little thrown off that we had to ask for a second key and as an FYI - it's one of those you need the key to keep the lights on in the room. Great location and appreciated that breakfast (with hot items) was also included.

Easy to find on O Connell Street, located close to the spire & with a very bright, fresh & spacious foyer. We were checked in immediately, no waiting. A very friendly, fuss free & informative check in as, we were advised of the current covid restrictions, Wi-Fi, check out time & breakfast times etc. We booked our breakfast time slot whilst checking in. We were given 2 room key cards which were not just needed for room entry & activating the electricity but also to access the 2 lifts & main entrance door to the hotel. Our room was spacious & clean with a carpet floor, twin beds, reading lights, clothes closet, safe, luggage rack, wall mounted tv, smoke alarm, small table, armchair, iron & ironing board, tea, coffee, full length mirror, hairdryer, plenty of electrical sockets & aircon, which was badly needed as it was 26 degrees outside during the day. A large window, overlooking Fibber Magee’s beer garden, gave us a lot of natural light. With the window & inner sliding panel both closed, we had no issues with noise from outside of the hotel nor did we have any noise issues from inside the hotel. WiFi was excellent, quick to connect to with member connect, fast speeds & reliable. The bathroom was quite small but clean & contemporary with fully tiled walls & tiled floor, large shower cubicle, rain head shower on a rail with great pressure & plenty of hot water, conditioning shampoo & shower cream in wall mounted dispenser, liquid soap in a wall mounted dispenser, large mirror, plenty of towels, dual voltage shaver socket & wall vent. In the evening we spent a couple of hours in the hotel bar which was really spacious, laid back & relaxed with comfortable seating but which was not very busy with just a handful of other guests there. A pint of Smithwicks ale & glass of Condor Chilean red wine cost 13.55 Euros. We went down for breakfast at the time we had booked – 09:55. It was quiet with very few other guests around so no problem getting seated. A nice relaxed buffet with toast, croissants, mini muffins, cereals, porridge, natural yoghurt, fry, fresh whole oranges, orange & apple juices, water, coffees, teas & hot chocolate. Check out was supposed to be at 11:00 but we asked on the the way back to our room, following breakfast, if it would be possible to have an extra hour & we were told, no problem & no extra charge so, perfect. We also used the left luggage room, free & secure by use of a ticket system. All staff that we encountered were excellent, very friendly & very helpful. The hotel’s location is excellent, a short stroll from Busaras with a luas stop very close by & numerous shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, fast food, coffee outlets etc in close proximity.

so check in time is 14:00 we arrived at holiday inn at 14:20 to find out no room has been cleaned for us which was fair enough so went to the bar and had a drink. we were offered a room that was cleaned with a double bed but we are two single women and that is not what we had ordered. a man then came down to us at 15:20 and offered us an " upgraded room" a double bed and a sofa bed we said ok thats fair enough so we drank up and went to our room got changed and headed out.matresses in the room are very firm dont really get a good nights sleep on them. breakfast was lovely and the bread toasted was beautiful. check out time was 11:00am our bus home wasnt to 16:00 so we asked if we could leave our bags there and the man that was dealing with us couldnt be more helpful.so when we came back to get our bags we got the girl who checked us in yesterday she took a while to find our bags n seemed a bit angry.i wouldnt stay here again because of having to wait an hour to get a room and the beds are not comfortable

My husband and I stayed for about 5 days at this location. Great location in the city. Easy to get to and from. There are taxis near by, and the tram is right across the street which makes seeing the city very easy to do. The location is also near places to eat, and other shops. Their breakfast was good, not a ton of options, but it's just what you need. There is a bar downstairs, and they do offer a small menu should you want to order anything to eat throughout the day-and into the night. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Never had an issue with anything while there. Definitely would be a place to stay should we go back to Dublin.
