Booked here to stay on December 1st. The lady showed us to room and i immediately noticed how cold it was. As she was leaving she picked up a piece of dirt off the floor and laughed it off. When she left we inspected the room. Cobwebs everywhere, cobweb on pillow, hairs in bed, h

I have to say what a lovely place to stay. The bedroom was very warm and cozy and got a lovely sleep. The bedroom also had a shower and also lovely breakfast each morning. The lady of house is very nice.

We had a lovely Room. All clean and breakfast was ok. Landlord Mairead is great and helps out where ever she can.
B&B is just five minutes from LUAS station Rialto. 10 minutes team ride to city centre.

Parking is not good there. But Mairead found a way. Thanks again!

Does anyone know if there is a street or parking nearby that we can pay at a daily rate ? Thanks
Are there bathrooms connected to each room, or do all guests share one bathroom?
All guests share the bathroom. It was an old fashioned bathroom, quite cluttered and then you would have to walk back up a few stairs too your room level. There was one room right beside it. That was a downside for me. I had a single room. I am not sure if a double has en suite .

"The attic room is a poor choice, but the other rooms seem to get good reviews."
"We had a triple room for two of us. this was a good choice."
"The TV was too low so my wife couldn't see it when I was on the bed. one side of the bed is was against a wall but that was ok for us some people may not like that. overall we had a great time thanks for the hospitality"
"Tip: Don't forget the house numbering, there are more B&B's located in this street - and yes, I recommend Portland House!"
"The shower should be replaced and a restoration would help a lot on the bathroom and the room. "
