Check in was swift. Very pleasant man greeted me. Room was what was expected, clean, neat and had everything that I needed, including a decent hairdryer. Shower was powerful. Tv had a good selection of channels. The bed was very comfortable. Could hear low, muffled noises from room next door but nothing that would actually disturb my stay. May have noticed due to being a solo traveler and more aware of noises. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. Loads of vegetarian options which is always a bonus! Overall, very pleasant stay at a very reasonable price.

We had a lovely stay here. Very suitable for family stay. Very Covid aware. Accommodation has separate access to main hotel. Has motel feel about it. Rooms are spacious and spotless. Breakfast menu is exceptional. Lovely stay. We will definitely be back.

My Husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for a midweek break . It was our first time to stay in this type of accommodation Lodge / Motel. From the first telephone conversation the staff where very friendly. The room is basic but clean & warm and the sheets on the huge King size bed where so comfortable. We only had breakfast here and it was amazing on both mornings, served to your table which I like, I hate all the getting up & down for buffet breakfasts. We are at the Local Indian restaurant one evening and the staff & food where fantastic . On another evening we ate in Harveys Point and again our food was excellent. The house attached to the Lodge and where breakfast and Lunch are served is a very beautiful old house. There is loads of parking space and you literally on the door step of Donegal town if you wish to do some shopping or walk to a bar or restaurant in the evening as The Gateway stop serving food at 5. We will return and I will definitely tell our friends of this little Gem .

We had the pleasure of staying in the gateway lodge in October and what a wonderful place to stay. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, particularly as we were stranded with no car, including allowing a late check out. The breakfast was truly the most delicious we ever had and our children we greeted with kindness by everyone they met. A wonderful base to explore donegal town and the hospitality it has to offer.
