We stayed here in 2018 and planned a trip in May 2020 that was moved to 2022. The B&B is in a great location, rooms are spacious and bathrooms have plenty of room. The rooms have supplies for tea which was nice in the evening. Breakfast was very good. The menu is not large, but has a great variety. Our host made sure to check with us on our way in on a day when the weather had turned blustery. We enjoyed staying with Jackie and Geoff again and would stay here in the future.
This was one of the highlights of our Ireland trip. First, Geoff and Jackie were wonderful host. Geoff even took us on a tour of the property. The view of the bay was gorgeous as was the sunsets. Our room was very large, and we had a view of the bay. Our breakfast each morning was made to order. In my book, this is a must stay at place!
This B&B took our breath away. It is lovely. The house is nestled upon the side of a hill overlooking an inlet with views of the Atlantic. One can watch the tide come in and out with the vista of sheep grazing on nearby hill. Accommodations were perfect. Breakfast delicious. This place is a must stay if you’re in Donegal. The owners are friendly and so very accommodating.
Friends indicated Rossmore Manor was their favourite B&B during their trip to Ireland. We arranged our trip plan to stay at Rossmore Manor, when they had availability. We agree with our friends recommendation! Jackie and Geoff were wonderful hosts. Welcoming our group of 3 couples to their B&B, as well as Ireland. We fully enjoyed our stay.
Rossmore Manor B&B After visiting the Castle and having a wonderful mid-afternoon meal at the Old Castle Bar we took the road two miles east of Donegal town. Winding through this back road we came upon a charming and enchanting Manor House, where we were warmly greeted by our hosts Jackie and Jeff. Our party of four were offered two very spacious and well appointed rooms overlooking the estuary. The grounds were accented by flowering cherry trees and shrubs of many varieties. The view over the estuary is breathtaking offering ample opportunity to take pictures. As with all B&Bs, the rooms are important yet often secondary to the welcome offered by the hosts. From our early evening conversations about our families and cultural and political experiences to the extensive options for our tasty breakfast, our interactions were very warm and enjoyable. Only a short drive from town, I highly recommend Rossmore Manor to anyone looking to stay near Donegal.…
Was back at Rossmore this week with 8 basketball players. Can not say enough about the hospitality. Such a unique property with all sorts of trinkets in the different common areas from swords to body armor. Hosts have grade recommendations in town and will make any reservation for you. the breakfast one of the tops of any B&B I've been in. not limited to Irish Breakfast as they make some great pancakes (try the savory) that is more like a crepe. Waling up to the view of the lake is something I always enjoy and the stays here over the years have been nothing but fantastic!
Thank you so much Gareth for making us feel so welcome. The house has everything we could ever need in the most beautiful setting. Can’t recommend it more highly and we will be booking again next year
We’ve traveled to Ireland on holiday 21 times over the last 23 years and when we discovered Rossmore Manor, we began including several nights each year at this world class B&B. The views of Donegal Bay from our rooms on each stay are nothing less than cinematic. The sunsets are post card views and to top it all the owners, Jackie and Geoff are attuned to assuring that each stay is a pleasure.
Hands down this gorgeous b&b is a gem and is better than the majority of hotels we have ever stayed in. Spacious rooms. Amazing views of the lakes and countryside. Friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you Jackie and Geoff. We will be back.
My husband and myself stayed 2 nights at Rossmore Manor . We were more than impressed with the accommodation . Our room was very spacious and comfortable . The views were stunning and our host Jackie was friendly and helpful. Great choice of breakfast. If in Donegal this is a beautiful place to stay.
