Former townhouse right on the Diamond in Donegal. Close to everything. Many many stairs to accommodations, even one flight is about 18 steps. Beautifully renovated, our room was very small looking out over metal roofs. The bed was hard but with nice linens. As per fire code the bright green light in the room and bathroom were extremely annoying. It caused me to not sleep well. I get it for safety but it really really is intrusive. The bathroom was a bathroom and shower all together that was annoying too. Sink and toilet get wet with no shower doors or curtain. It was very clean tho. Not a lot of space to put belongings. Check in seemed needlessly complicated with emailed links, downloads, codes. Then you need a keycard to operate the power in your room anyway. (Also annoying). The place was quiet.

Really handy accommodation in the town
Centre of town👍🏼
Host was great 👍🏼
Bed was comfortable 👍🏼
It had everything that I needed to cook.
Internet was fine for work.
Near cafes and shops, so I had everything I needed to stock up.
Donegal town is a lovely place to visit.

I wish I could speak fondly of this place but I can't. The accommodation supposedly uses entry via an app sent to your mobile. Not being particularly tech savvy, we decided to use the other option provided, which was picking the keys up from the local SPAR. We were 15 minutes early but, considering people had been good about such things at our previous accommodations in Ireland, we figured they would give us a 1/4 of an hour leeway. WRONG! The absolutely rude girl at the SPAR half yelled at us that the room was 'still being cleaned' and it wouldn't be available before 3pm. I finally worked out the app and got in only to find there was no power!. Turns out the app was pointless and you had to pick up the keycard from the SPAR to run the power. The location is great, the view was of someones back yard, the aircon had a max heating capability of 20 degrees, the shower rose is so close to the wall that, at 6'3, I almost had to stand with my nose against the wall, and there's no screen-just a rubber strip glued to the floor to stop the place flooding. I almost never give bad reviews, but, a little bit of flexibility would gone a long way start the stay on better footing.
