Lovely Hotel and great staff, rooms spacious and everywhere in the hotel was very clean. Top class food apart from breakfast which was a let down, come on Abbey Hotel this is Ireland so it should be a full Irish breakfast! Stayed here one night before traveling onward. BOTTOM LINE: A lovely hotel with equally lovely staff in a lovely town. I wish I could’ve stayed another day or two to properly experience Donegal, but I hope to come back again some time. LOCATION: Right in Donegal Town. If you’re coming in via bus, chances are it will stop right here....

Average experience. Could not fault the cleanliness of room, however the decor is extremely dated. Got a key on a giant keyring, haven't been given one of them in years. There is a niteclub in the hotel. We were on the second floor and found it extremely noisy and couldn't get to sleep until after 3am. Breakfast was ok, but...

Quite a large hotel with a nice bar area with evening live music. The hotel reception staff were professional and polite. The room was fine reminded me of the 1990's and evident that it had been a smoking room. The river Eske flowed below our hotel room with its beautiful magestic sound but sadly corrupted by the hotels industrial extraction...

My husband and I shared in the Abbey hotel 4/8 /15 and were both very happy with the hotel. Our room 319 was ample size and included king size bed and view of the river/harbour. The staff are polite and on arrival we mentioned it was our wedding anniversary we later had complimentary bottle of wine delivered to our room.
