In fairness, reception warned me when I booked that it could be loud over the bank holiday weekend, I just wasn't expecting this level of loudness.

The Abbey Hotel has an excellent location if you are visiting Donegal town. It is on one side of the town square and is walking distance to the castle, pubs and shops.

I like old hotels but not this one. The room was ok, although overheated. Biggest problem was totally unreliable WiFi. Sometimes I could get it, sometimes not. Sometimes I could get it on my tablet but not my phone. Very frustrating. The restaurant was awful....More
