The Arches was amazing! Immaculately clean. Gorgeous setting inside and out. Our hostess was so friendly and helpful, like visiting an old friend. And the breakfast! Delicious! If ever we have a chance to visit again, it’ll be a must stay.

I have been staying with Noreen on Lough Eske for 26 years. (We figured this out together when I arrived there this past Saturday.) I think I have stayed with her at least 10 times, maybe more. It would be hard to overstate how perfect a visit with Noreen is. The location, the home, the rooms, the breakfasts are all incomparable. But most importantly, the kindness and warmth of Noreen. When I enter that house, I instantly feel like I am home. So, some of the mechanics....just 10 minutes from Donegal town, nestled up on the shores of Lough Eske with magnificent views. One night is not enough. Do yourself a favor and stay at least two, or even three. Settle in and enjoy all the magic that Donegal has to offer. There is no more beautiful part of Ireland. Noreen is special. You won't be disappointed.

Just returned from 2 wonderful nights in this stunning B&B. Our lovely room had fantastic views over Lough Eske and the Blue Stack mountains. Noreen, our host was extremely helpful and friendly..The bed was super comfortable and made for a great night's sleep.. The breakfast each day was delicious, especially the homemade wheaten bread! It's a beautiful house with stunningly maintained gardens. Very easy to get to, lots of signposts and only 10 mins from Donegal town. Can't wait to return! 10/10

The room was spacious ; the gardens beautifully manicured and the views on Lough Eske special : Noirin organised a taxi for us to Harvey Point Castle ; The breakfast was excellent - the fresh strawberries a fine treat ; Highly recommended The tick box below refers to the Arches as a hotel - it is a boutique Guest House and I would much prefer this experience

Hands down, our favorite stay during the 2 week trip. Quiet, scenic location; Close to Donegal town. We stayed in a large, beautiful room with a view of Lough Eske. Excellent breakfast. Thank you, Noreen, for the hospitality and treating us like friends. My husband and I were kicking ourselves for not staying longer at the Arches.

My mother and I traveled to Donegal and originally booked 2 nights. We ended up staying 4 nights because we loved this place SO much! Great location close to town and to make day trips around county Donegal, beautiful scenery, comfortable accommodation, with lovely host Noreen! Loved waking up to the beautiful scenery and rainbows over the lake. Could not make a higher recommendation!

On our 3 weeks traveling around Ireland we stayed in a variety of accommodation from 1st class hotels to b&bs that were quoted as 5 star. Of which some were debatable. So I had a lot to compare the Arches to. This was the best place we stayed in Ireland. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was beautifully appointed and the breakfast on offer was varied and delicious. I had the French toast every morning. It was so good. As for the view over the lovely manicured gardens to the lake it was just stunning! I thought at first it may have been a little far out of Donegal but it certainly wasn't. It was an easy 10 drive in. It was actually lovely not to stay in the centre of town and just soak up the amazing Irish countryside. As for the host Noreen she was absolutely delightful and welcoming Full of suggestions and just all in all made our stay all the more pleasant. I would highly recommend The Arches to anyone staying in the area.

It's really impossible to find a note out of tune in this beautiful B&B, which delighted us from every point of view: the enchanting position overlooking the Lough Eske, the spacious room with a very comfortable double bed, the excellent breakfast, the elegance and care of our host, Noreen. Moreover, the residence - despite being in an absolutely quiet and relaxing location in the open countryside - is just 10 minutes drive from Donegal Town and is an excellent starting point for exploring the County of Donegal. If you are lucky enough to find a free room, do not hesitate to book!
