From the moment we arrived to Harvey’s Point to the moment we left , it was like heaven. Staff were welcoming and friendly and couldn’t be nicer. The setting is stunning. We booked one of the Lakeshore suites for our 30th wedding anniversary. It was beautiful with a stunning view of the lake. The food was lovely and breakfast offered everything you could think of with really good quality food. I especially loved the cooked to order omelettes. The restaurant for dinner was very nice. I cannot fault the hotel the staff or the trip. We can’t wait to return

What a gem of a hotel in a beautiful setting. We had a magnificent suite that was spacious and spotless. I’d challenge the Brennan’s of Kenmare to surpass it. You would know it’s a family run hotel as it has that homely feel. All the meals were excellent. Would recommend it highly for an escape and pampering!

We stayed for only one night as we drove from Northern Ireland along the West Coast of Ireland. Harvey's Point is an absolutely spectacular location - the great physical beauty of the lake and plains among the surrounding hills. A truly special place. Relevantly, the service there is the absolute best, from check-in to concierge to the bar and restaurant. Outstanding formal dinner service and great breakfast buffet. Honestly, we really hated to leave. Will go back in a heartbeat. Cannot recommend more highly!

Spent a few days here and I was generally impressed, it's a lovely hotel in a beautiful location and the service is very good, bordering on 5*. I will definitely be back in the off season. The only downside from my personal perspective is you have to book time to eat both for dinner and breakfast. Dinner I can understand but I've never been anywhere you need to book a breakfast slot before as a resident and found it strange that on check in there wasn't even a slot available for a meal at the bar. While I understand it's peak season and the dining experience is very good, I'd like to be able to relax and go to breakfast when I wake up rather than have to plan 48 hours ahead when I'm going to eat breakfast. The need to nook genuinely affected my relaxing weekend plan, otherwise I'd highly recommend and will be back if I want to holiday in Donegal with a plan.

Just back from a very relaxing stay in Harvey’s Point and it was pure luxury! Right from the moment we arrived the staff were amazing and the hotel is most definitely 5 star. From when we booked in and all the way to checkout the staff were amazing. They were incredibly Friendly and helpful. There is a great buzz around the hotel and we really felt we were on vacation. The piano player on Monday night was excellent and the wine tasting and the walk with Noel on Wednesday were both very special. We can highly recommend this hotel.

We recently stayed at Harvey’s Point and have a wonderful experience. We were there to attend a wedding but stayed in the hotel for the weekend too. If you are looking to escape a busy city (we live in London) and getaway from it all then this is the place. The staff are friendly and warm, the rooms are spacious and lux plus it is all in remote countryside and on the edge of a lake. A few nights here and you’ll feel refreshed. The food is top notch, beautiful fresh ingredients and lovingly presented. Both dinner and breakfast will not disappoint.

Setting and atmosphere fantastic, the service and staff great, the casual dining menu had a good selection on offer which meant that there was plenty of choice for all. Unfortunately on this occasion we found the the food was a little disappointing. The Caesar salad that we ordered as a main course was not very large and lacked the croutons and Parmesan shavings as is the norm however, it could have been a fine dining take on the traditional and perhaps we were just a bit too fussy. It was quite busy on the day we visited and we had not booked even though the hotel advised that you do so. In all honesty the location made us overlook the issues we had with the food and we have eaten here on numerous occasions and have never had an issue so hopefully it was just a one off. If you are looking for a tranquil time when visiting the Donegal town area then do not miss this gem.
