This was our second visit to the Central Hotel in 2 months. The hotel is lovely and comfortable. There is some refurbishment work going on at the moment but we never heard any noise at all. Our room was beautiful, looking over the bay with a recently refurbished bathroom. The staff are excellent, all extremely professional, friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, a little dated. Ailish checked us in on reception and she was so friendly and helpful. The food was nice but a lot not available, the waiter I cannot remember his name maybe kristian? Was very friendly. The bar was nice too.

Myself and my wife stayed for 5 nights over Christmas and had a fabulous time. Breakfast was beautiful every morning and the Christmas Dinner was 1st class. Staff were excellent, especially Breda. We didn't want to leave and we looking forward to our next visit. James and Catherine Supple

Was at a works xmas meal last fri in this hotels dinning area and was not impressed with the food. Portions were small and were not very warm. Other members in the party had to ask for bread with there soup and condiments for there meal. Overall a disappointing day out.

Stayed just 1 night here, nice hotel, great location but quiet (low Season). Needs a little TLC as it is a little dated, but enjoyed my stay all the same. But I would stay again.Just doing some work in the town.

We stayed here on Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd of November. The Central Hotel is right in the centre of Donegal town. The lovely receptionist who checked us in was so warm and friendly. Our room was a bay view room with a beautiful view of donegal bay. Our room was spotless with a really comfy bed. Best pillows ever. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant. I had Turkey and Ham with incredible gravy. My hubby had the Fish and chips both were delicious. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice in a lovely breakfast room. A big thank you to Linda for all her help telling us what to visit in town. We really enjoyed the Castle and The Railway Museum. We had dinner again on Sunday evening best Steaks we had in a long time. Im Coeliac and the lovely waiter catered for me so well. We went to the bar on sunday night. There was great music and lots of lovely dancing. Again my thanks to Hugh the barman so friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great stay. This is our 3rd visit and we will be back again.…

Right in the centre of town, rear rooms and dining room with great view of coast. Dining tables circular take ten guests. Good food, table service. Friendly bar with traditional entertainment. Older rooms at front quite large, good lift. Many shops nearby.

Excellent service from beginning to end. Lovely big room with excellent powerful shower. Food was really good both breakfast and dinner. Friendly bar staff, entertainment at 9pm. Situated conveniently in the centre of town surrounded by shops with open centre area of The Diamond.

The Central Hotel is a place we often visit, and for this reason we chose here as our wedding venue. We love the homeliness of the hotel as well as the friendliness of all the staff. From booking the wedding to our big day we had amazing support and nothing was ever an issue. Shona, Breda and Alvin catered for all our wants. On the day the staff was so professional and our guests had a great day. Krystof and the chef had ensured food was out promptly and food tasted amazing. Our wedding venue room was beautiful, decor all supplied by the central hotel. We could not recommend the venue enough. My guests and ourselves were catered for all weekend. It was like home from home. We have since stayed in the hotel and we were treated like VIP guests. We arranged for an evening in this hotel to have finger food and drinks. The hotel staff and the Manager could not do enough for us. The finger food was lovely and plentiful. I forgot that one person in our party is GF and we mentioned it to the manager on duty. He immediately solved our problem and saved the night for us
