Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was a great holiday around Northern Ireland into Donegal, where we enjoyed the hot tub, steam room, and swimming. Overall, it was a lovely hotel and we also enjoyed the luxurious dinner. Will definitely return as needed more time to enjoy Donegal.

A lovely place to stay while in Donegal town. On the outskirts of the town but still an easy walk in. However, there was no difficulty getting a taxi if needed. Hotel is beautiful and breakfast was first class. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

Food lovely, room nice and clean. Very quiet in bar but restaurant busy and excellent dinner. This was a gift. No hot water in sink on 28th night and no hot water in shower next morning. Receptionist asked if all ok so I updated her on checking out, no management available but assured me they would be in contact. Son & daughter in law bought this as gift (had their wedding there in May 2011) and visits the hotel so they were very disappointed that no follow up call has been made. Disappointing….. We stayed three nights in the hotel in early February 2024. We had breakfast each morning and it was excellent. In the evening we ate in the Chapter Twenty, informal dining, which suited our group. The food was enjoyable although one of our group asked for a 'small portion' of fish and chips but the cost was not proportional to the size of the meal.

We had 5 friends go one again to The Mill Park Hotel to celebrate a number of birthdays we have around this time. Once again the hotel did not disappoint with great food right through to great and well trained staff. It's also close to Donegal town center for that all important shopping for the ladies. It's the only game in town and that's for sure.

Mill Park Hotel was a gem during my stay at the end of January! The staff welcomed me with open arms, making me feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, adorned with plenty of pillows and cushions for that extra comfort. And let’s talk about cleanliness – top-notch! It’s reassuring to know they take hygiene seriously. Now, the food – oh, the food! It was nothing short of delicious. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, all to my taste. The hotel’s culinary offerings truly elevated the experience. If you’re ever in Donegal, consider this place.

We've stayed quite a few times, all the staff were lovely and friendly, except the blonde lady with glasses at reception. Felt like I was taking her away from something more inportant even when checking out she couldn't even bring herself to say anything. The breakfast staff were lovely but run off their feet as they were understaffed, causing us to have no toast and tea brought until we were nearly finished. Beds for us were hard and uncomfortable, pillows were also very hard and uncomfortable.

From the minute we arrived front of house staff were excellent. What really hit home with myself and my husband was all the staff were Irish. Restaurant was 5* food and staff. Rooms beautiful and very spacious...we have just arrived at the Shandon hotel expecting the same experience but so far it is definitely not the Mill park or could it meet the quality of it.

Gorgeous food but terrible after that. Was told when charging food and drink to my room that nobody was in the that room after i was looked up and down. Showed my card and then he rang reception while I was left waiting for my drink. Embarrassing as another customer heard him interogating me.Card didn't open door then when I went back down to the room. Disappointing as I was told this is a great hotel. Won't be staying ever again.
