Detailed Reviews
Eas Dun Lodge is a warm and friendly Bed and Breakfast in a beautiful location near Lough Eske and about 6 kilometres from Donegal Town. Pat and Ann are great hosts and the rooms are very well appointed including a fridge and electric kettle. The location is great for walking, sight seeing and generally relaxing. It is also very close to Harvey’s Point Hotel for evening dining. Highly recommended.

My partner and I stayed at Eas Dun when attending a wedding reception. Location was stunning and the lodge was spotless.
Our room was spotlessly clean and there was so many positive things about our stay;
* Spacious, clean room
* Fresh smelling, white fluffy towels (I didn’t even use my own which I always bring just incase!)
* Comfortable bed and comfortable pillows
* Delicious breakfast (offered in line with Covid-19 considerations)
* Parking available
* WiFi
* Full length mirror in room
* Bin in room as well as in bathroom
* Light above the mirror in bathroom
As well as all of the points above, there was extra little touches that definitely stood out, such as a bottle of fresh milk which could go in the fridge in the room.
Above all, the host/proprietor (Ann) was just a lovely lady. Very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay pleasurable.
We will definitely be back!!!

Room Tip: It's about 8km outside of Donegal Town, but all the local taxi drivers were very helpful.

We were 3 couples travelling from Canada and the accommodations could not be better. Our rooms were very nicely appointed and the common dining/living area was great. Our hosts Ann & Patsy were wonderful. The views from this B&B are beautiful. The area offers lots of hiking options and the B&B is a great base to tour Donegal and surrounding area. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Donegal area.

Great hosts, beautiful location, clean and very easy to deal with. Would definitely use again. Anne was very responsive and helpful in the buildup to the trip. It is a very affordable stay in comparison to other places in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eas Dunn Lodge. Patsy & Ann were the perfect hosts. Our room was lovely, with a lovely view & comfortable bed. The breakfast was just perfect. About 20 minutes from Donegal city. Biddys O'Barnes is an excellent option for dinner. Fully recommended. We would definitely return

A delightful B & B with charming owners, picturesque beauty and the feel of home! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eas Dun Lodge and the highlight had to be taking the two B & B dogs for a walk in one of Ireland's beautiful forests! We brought them back more than a little muddy but they had a wonderful time and we were thrilled to have them share our walk! A short drive from Donegal, this B & B is ideally situated to enjoy a restful and tranquil break from a sometimes harried vacation!

As we were going to a wedding at the nearby lough Eske castle, I was tasked with finding the accommodation.
And what a find!
Myself and two friends stayed in this glorious little oasis of peace and tranquility for 4 nights, this gave us a chance to explore Donegal before the wedding.
The owners of the Eas Dun lodge are a lovely couple called Anne and Patsy for whom nothing was too much bother.
On arrival Patsy gave us a tour of the house, and made us feel very welcome. Throughout our stay both Anne and Patsy were always helpful and friendly - but without being intrusive.
By the end of our stay we felt like family and were sad to leave!
The rooms were spacious, spotless and modern, tastefully decorated with stunning views and some lovely little touches - such as the kit Kat's along with the tea and coffee.
My two friends stayed in the room in the photo. My room, number 6, was equally as lovely.
I have been raving about Anne's breakfasts since I got back. Lots to choose from, my favourite being the Irish breakfast with my bacon done crispy, I only had to say it once and Anne remembered. Impressive in my book! A previous review mentioned no white pudding, I am certain if they had of mentioned that's what they wanted, then Anne and Patsy would have had it for them the next morning.
On the day of the wedding, Patsy insisted on driving us down to Lough Eske Castle - too far to walk in heels! Didn't hear of any other B&B owners doing this for their guests!
The only thing that might bother some is that it's a little bit off the beaten track. It certainly didn't bother us. There are lovely walks to go on - ask to borrow Millie the family dog, she's a pleasure to walk. If your into cycling there are plenty routes around the Lough. And the scenery is spectacular. Donegal town is only a couple of minutes drive away.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay. A huge thank you to Anne and Patsy. Keep doing what your doing!
Will definitely come and stay again.

It was a real pleasure to stay with Ann and Patsy. I say stay with Ann and Patsy, because that's what it feels like! We were made so welcome we felt like family. The B&B itself is lovely, it has large, bright and immaculate bedrooms and AMAZING showers. The views over Lough Eske are spectacular. The breakfasts were generous and gorgeous with lots to choose from and as a vegetarian my breakfast was just as well thought out as the carnivores. Ann and Patsy were kind enough to give us a lift on a few occasions too. I have no hesitations on recommending this B&B, not only because of its brilliant amenities, but because Ann and Patsy are two of the loveliest people in all Donegal. I will go back and stay again and very soon I hope.
