Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First let me say Bridie, the proprietor, was so welcoming, charming and helpful. Made us feel at ease right away. We hadn't pre-booked with Bridie, my initial booking in another hotel went astray. But we found this hidden away jem. The room is so very clean and fresh. Has ensuite and the beds (a double and a single in this room) are so, so cumfy! It has the usual tea/coffee making facility a ironing board and iron if needed. It had a private carpark at the rear. You get a "fob" to operate the barrier to let you in! The only drawback is the three flights of stairs. No lift!! We stayed in one of the major hotels in the centre of Donegall, and believe me it offered nothing more than the Diamond Lodgings did. Well maybe a lift and a restaurant on site! But I thought I was paying double just for the lift! OK, the room was bigger but the facilities were the same. And the beds weren't as cumfy. We were really happy finding this place. The only critism I might have would be extra pillows and perhaps a toaster! Its basically for couples or a person on their own. I highly recommend this place to the overnight or staying viator,

Warmly welcomed by Brydie and informed us well on local knowledge. Easy parking and room 6 comes with a great view of The Diamond - the town centre. Room was very comfortable with easy and safe late night access. Nice place to stay.

We had a delightful stay at the Diamond Lodging in the heart of Donegal town. ItThe rooms were surprisingly quiet and immaculate. The day before we were to arrive, I received a notice from the booking site that our room had been canceled due to confusion with a credit card. When I called the owner, Bridie, she said there were no worries as she kept our room for us. (Thank you again Bridie!) She gave us excellent tips on where to go to eat and how to get to different areas.

Bridie was a wonderful host. The diamond lodgings are right on the diamond in Donegal so they are close to everything, including the Abbey, the Castle, and the pubs. Bridie knew everywhere to eat, she paid attention to little needs without being asked, and was a fount of local knowledge. All the rooms were clean and well appointed and great care was taken to make sure even the smallest details were looked after. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. And you can't beat the location. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to some travelers from Canada we met at the bus stop.

Would highly recommend this friendly accommodation in the Centre of Donegal town. The owner, Bridie, went out of her way to be helpful and the rooms are very comfortable, well equipped and good value. The off street parking is an added bonus.

Wonderful stay. On the town center”The Diamond “ hence the name. Bridie, the host could not be more welcoming or friendly. She know all about Donegal Town and is very helpful. Accommodations are bright, clean and comfortable. Location is great. Everything in town is walkable. Would definitely return if ever in Co. Donegal. We had a room in the back, street noise was minimal. Bridie, thank you again, had a great stay.

No frills accommodation in the heart of Donegal near the town square. Quite a few stairs to negotiate with large suitcases so for an overnight stay I would advise a smaller bag. A wonderful selection of restaurants, hotels, Irish Music and shops all with in an easy stroll. A little difficult to find but the proprietor is very helpful and friendly and there is free parking at the rear of the building. Comfortable room and adequate facilities.

This is a warm place right in the Diamond, the center of Donegal. But the headline is Bridie, the owner. She is extremely warm and friendly and truly made this a welcoming place. You can tell she takes great pride in her hotel and her town. There is wonderful secure parking included and it's an easy walk to anywhere in town. Bridie will make sure you have some ideas on where to go for dinner, music, and drinks. She single-handedly makes this a great place to stay.
