At The Kingsley, guests are consistently impressed by the immaculate cleanliness, with numerous mentions of pristine rooms and quality toiletries. The hotel's service garners acclaim for its warmth and professionalism, though it's not without its occasional hiccups. The array of amenities, including the lavish spa and the stunning outdoor heated infinity pool, receives high praise, as does the cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
Nestled in an ideal location that offers both city convenience and picturesque river walks, The Kingsley is a favorite despite some noise complaints. While the rooms are celebrated for their comfort and modern features, critiques do surface regarding noise, outdated decor, and maintenance issues. Opinions on value are mixed, with some guests feeling the higher price points and service inconsistencies do not detract from the hotel's appeal.

The staff at The Kingsley are genuine, they listen to you and respond in a lovely way to what you need help with. I found them attentive and smiley and felt like they were relaxed enough at work to just be themselves, which just shows good management to me.
The blackout curtains actually work! Which is important to me. Beautiful Rituals shower gel, shampoo and conditioner is provided, as well as hand-wash.
There was a bath in my room which was much appreciated and piping hot water which was just perfect!
The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very clean. The towels were soft, fluffy and clean.
There was a T.V. a kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits provided ( perfect when you leave early to catch your flight! Just having something to eat/ drink and wake you up first thing!!)
The breakfast and dinner at the hotel is absolutely delicious. The vegetable soup and tasty bread is a must try.
On a practical note I would like a blackout eye mask to be provided in the rooms, and also a mirror that could be easily moved, as the lighting in the rooms I used was quite unnatural, and so was difficult to put on makeup in that light. So I found myself using the window shelf and using the natural light here and a small hand mirror I had with me to put on my make up which was impractical for a person who might do something like this daily.
I enjoyed using the pools, the view from the outdoor pool is really pretty.
I would recommend a stay at The Kingsley. It was an excellent experience.

This is a lovely hotel based on the River Lee, with a wonderful staff team. The entrance and reception are very roomy, with an open fire, and you are made to feel very welcome on arrival. I arrived early and my room wasn't ready, so I went to see what was on the lunch menu, unfortunately nothing vegan, I was told that they could make the salad vegan, Hobsons choice. I declined and went to the bar for a cup of tea. The bar is nice, although no windows.
Later I had dinner in the bar, a very good Thai curry with choice of tofu, chicken and something else that I can't remember.
At breakfast there are LOTS of options, but very little for a vegan in the cooked breakfast, mushrooms are on the menu, but there weren't so asked a member of staff, who kindly offered to get some, I think that they were cooked in butter. There is a lot of fruit on offer. The following morning I had porridge made with water, not doing that again.
There is soya milk available, so I'm going to request a jug of it to have some cereal.
The room is a good size, with lots of storage space, there's an iron, safe hairdryer, rituals toiletries, shower cap and plenty of towels, it's a spa hotel so there are white dressing gowns. There's a good sized TV and a tablet to give you extra information. Tea, coffee and water. There is no fridge as part of the hotel's environmental commitment but you can request one. It's very quiet and my quality of sleep was good.
The bathroom is really nice with a very large shower.
They also have a free bike hire scheme.
OK, I'm always balanced in my reviews, if I can be. The bottom corners of the shower have a little mould, the grouting at the bottom is grey and could do with a good scrub, as could the grouting on the bathroom floor. The shower head is standard so doesn't really fit the size of the cubicle. It would be nice to have something to put toothbrushes in rather than resting them on the shelf. Also would be nice if the hairdryer had a blow dry nozzle. The first night I was cold, as I couldn't work out the heating.... saying that someone else felt that it was hot.
I think that it would be good to implement a 'don't change the towels' system as part of their environmental policy. Also, perhaps a 'don't make up the room' card on the door. Staff work so hard, I was only in there at night, on my own, just to sleep.
These are minor suggestions and hope that they are considered constructive feedback, not criticisms.
Would I stay there again? Without hesitation. It's a lovely hotel, and all staff, are welcoming and helpful. Customer care is king.

the room was gorgeous, the lovely shower robes were great after my shower & the bed was so comfortable, everything about the room was spot on & we ate in the bar which had lovely food as well. Breakfast was gorgeous the following morning, I could not find one fault with hotel or staff. The bathroom was huge & they had the most lovely shower gel/shampoo etc., from the irish handmade soap company, which was divine. I would definately stay here again. I got a great rate as well because I was attending a proceedure in the Bons Secour hospital next door & reception were so helpful, they booked a taxi for me & it was 5 mins away by taxi. Also there is a great underground carpark in the hotel which brings you directly up to reception.

We have stayed at the Kingsley several times as it is close to the city centre . Standards appear to be slipping recently. Checked in by very pleasant staff, unfortunately, housekeeping missed some basics when cleaning the room ....including the fact that one sink was 1/4 filled with stagnant water with the remnants of someone's morning toothpaste spit. Thankfully there was a 2nd sink in the bathroom, but unnerving as to what else had been missed ! Breakfast staff were as pleasant as always and there is a good range of options. The same cannot be said for the bar menu which is limited for non meat eaters so we dined elsewhere. Overall, an average hotel experience , several of my colleagues have suggested looking for alternatives for future returns to Cork, which is a shame as it is in an ideal location and has great potential.

We spent 6 days with my girlfriend, and everything was perfect, the breakfast if you take a room with lunch included you won't regret, it's typical Irish offerings. The room is large with a king-size bed and the sheets are changed every day. It is possible to order food and drinks from the restaurant directly from the room using a tablet and there is even a bar directly in the hotel.
Great stay, I really recommend!

Absolutely beautiful stay at this hotel. It has everything you need and more for a beautiful stay.this is my 2nd time staying here and I would 100% stay again. Beds and pillows are so comfortable, great selection of TV channels and also an option to chrome cast to the TV, plenty of tea and coffee provided as well as herbal teas /hot chocolate. The staff are all super nice and extremely knowledgeable about gluten free. There is a fantastic selection of gluten free for breakfast/lunch . I didnt have dinner at the hotel but the menu looked good too for gluten free. Gorgeous swimming pool , sauna , Jacuzzi, steam room and out door infinity pool. The bathroom has a really deep bath with the tap in the middle so you can fully relax into the bath , a washing line in the bath to hang wet items , a separate shower area in the bathroom, 2 double sinks , robes and slippers are provided. Air con in room. And a quiet nights sleep .

Wow, what an experience. We still talk about it a month later. We only go to such hotels for special occasions once in a blue moon and are glad every time we do it.
The reception was very attentive to our situation and room service was perfect. The package included dinner and breakfast. It was marvellous. We were stuffed with tasty food and could retreat to quiet and comfortable room.
We also took advantage of the spa. Our only negatives here were the lack of etiquette by other people in the spa (talking loudly doesn't make for a relaxing atmosphere - it's a spa not a pub) and the necessity of bath clothing, which is very unlike spas and saunas in Sweden, Norway, Finland and the Baltics.
The website could also be better as finding information was a little difficult. Having a unified booking system would also work wonders as it seems the hotel, spa, and restaurant aren't entirely aware of each other (their IT systems) despite being in the same building. Makes for very confusing emails asking for information you already provided to another entity in the hotel.
However, ignoring administrative issues, the experience was amazing. If they added a Japanese style bidet to the bathrooms, that would make the experience top-notch!

We had a graduation at UCC and booked in for 1 night dinner, b& b. We were not disappointed. From the front of House reception, dining room, and household staff, the attention to detail was obvious throughout the Kingsley. We had dinner in Fishers Restaurant and it was 1st class. We left 2 items in the dining room and staff at reception kept them safe until we called back to collect them. We will be back.

The Kingsley Hotel is very aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. We had a very warm welcome from the man at reception, and he was very accommodating when I asked for a fridge in our room - he brought one straight up. The hotel is right on the banks of the River Lee, and as such you have marvellous views when you are dining here. The breakfasts were amazing every morning, with plenty of options, both buffet and a la carte. It is lovely to eat breakfast every morning with a view of the river. We also ate dinner once and afternoon tea here - both delicious with attentive and friendly waiting staff. Our room was made up every morning and was furnished to a high standard. Every evening someone would come round with bottles of water, tea bags and chocolate, which was a nice touch! The whole hotel was always clean, calm, and a lovely place to be. I would definitely stay here again when visiting this area.

We had a wonderful stay of comfort, enjoy food and the stay with a magnificent SPA highlighting its outdoor hot water pool overlooking the river. In the bathroom all products are RITUALS brand. The room very comfortable being able to connect the phone to the TV and with the wifi watch your favorite channels in your language. The splendid food, breakfast is composed of an à la carte meal plus buffet, it is exceptional, if you are lucky enough to have the views of the river, the better. Very good lunch and dinner, both fish and meat which is very tasty. Highlight that at any time you can eat because you have different spaces that serve you at all times. Thank the hotel for the help received for a personal problem which had our proper personal service feeling at home when we were so far from it, just say that, in restoration we have experience since, we are from Mallorca. A special thank you mention to Ms. Lou-Ann, Mr. Alberto and Mr. Adam, they'll understand and a hug from Mallorca.

I am really sorry. I don't know the answer to this. But the hotel patio area which travels along the beautiful river Lee, is a truly gorgeous (and open to public) area to have an afternoon drink and view the historic other side of the river

Sorry, I do not understand the question, do you mean BEDS and not DEBS?
The hotel is large and certainly has in excess of 60 beds if this is what you are asking.
There are more places to choose from in the Cork area.
