Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent 2 nights here, and enjoyable from start to finish. Lovely room, very comfortable and clean. All staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and professional, from check in to check out. A particular thanks to John (with beard, at reception) for helpfulness. Breakfast was lovely, a wide selection of foods. We had porridge which was the nicest I've tasted for ages. Lovely honey in a honeycomb (from their own bees on the roof !). I had poached eggs (done just right) with forest mushrooms on toasted brioche with hollandaise sauce. also nice fresh fruit. a really lovely breakfast. We had dinner on the second night, very relaxing and served by Niamh who was very helpful, with excellent service. The food was excellent. Very well cooked, and everything we had was superb. Parking was on site, with enough spaces. We walked into town the first day, about 30 mins, gentle stroll. Nice to see the town as we walked. The pool was excellent, and there is also an outdoor heated pool with views of the river. We've stayed in several hotels in Cork, and this is one of the nicest.

My three night stay at The Kingsley was most enjoyable. I valued very much the warm reception from Cormack and his dedication to me as a client. Throughout my stay I experienced the warmth and hospitality of most staff. The Cork accent took time to appreciate. Tone of voice of some staff in the dining room could be improved - loud voices at breakfast time is never appreciated!

Can’t fault this hotel if you are looking for a dog friendly hotel in a great location. Rooms are a generous size. Free parking. Dog bed and bag of treats provided. Food was excellent and we could take our dog into the restaurant. A lovely walk along the river accessible from the hotel garden.

I stayed in Feb 2024, despite being a member of the gym and living quite close. This is an exceptional hotel mainly because of the people! Brian is the Customer Relations Manager and there’s nothing he won’t help with. He went above and beyond to help me with a request and I’m so thankful to him. He’s also great fun and endlessly smiley! The same can be said for the front desk who got me a particularly quiet, beautiful room with views overlooking the river Lee and beautiful fresh air! I slept so well in the king bed and the bathroom is so spacious. But it’s the little touches that get me every time - the hotel produces honey from bees it keeps on the roof! The products in the bathroom are exquisite from the Voya range and the rooms have powerful Espresso machines with complimentary artisan chocolate made in Cork. The team at the spa and gym are simply incredible - I’ve been so many times and the experience is consistent. The staff here really go out of their way to be helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Thank you to the Kingsley staff.

Had a very brief stay at the Kingsley and was not disappointed. Lovely comfortable hotel room, with everything you might want for a lovely stay. Room and bed was cosy and comfortable. Bathroom had lovely fluffy towels - bathroom was large with a bath and shower and double sinks. Breakfast offerings were lovely and lots to choose from - both buffet and from the menu.

The Kingsley is a wonderful place to go for Afternoon Tea in Cork. We got more than enough food and even got to take our leftovers home in a lovely box. There was great variety in the food we got and everything tasted delicious. There was a lovely buzz in the dining room and the staff were all so lovely, friendly and helpful. I would definately go back.

The hotel was perfect for my short stay. The staff were courteous and helpful. Check in was a little slow due to only 2 people on the desk and a number of people waiting. But overall a lovely experience.
