Stayed here for 2 nights, location is perfect for the city centre, very walkable. The host Olive is very friendly, went out of her way before my arrival and during my stay to make me feel comfortable. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Great shower, tea facilities etc. Breakfast was delicious. Recommended

Great B&B, very polite family and great support regarding trips or possibilities doing around. The rooms are very good equipped, silent and very clean. Come in and feel the warm open behavior. I recommend this BB also, because it is a great location to the city, you can walk. Breakfast is fantastic, you are prepared for the day...

This was mine and my mum's first proper trip since before the pandemic and we could not have picked a better place to stay. Olive & Kieran are wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we had an enjoyable trip. Auburn House is situated in the Victorian Quarter, just a short walk from the bus station and surrounded by plenty shops, cafes, bars etc. if you don't fancy going into the main city centre. Our room was spacious and comfortable with lovely decor. The windows were thick enough to block out the city noise - Cork is more bustling than people think! There was a great selection of cold and hot breakfast options and again, Olive & Kieran were happy to get extra bits in if needed. I HIGHLY recommend the Omega bread which they picked up from the Alternative Bread Company in the English Market. Super tasty, I ended up making lunch with it. The dining room is also available to use at all times and has a microwave, kettle and cutlery, which meant we were able to dine in on a few nights (good if you're trying to save money. I adored the fish tank in the dining room and their sweet little dog, Pippa, who would sometimes be snoozing in the hallway. It really made the place feel like a home. We had a brilliant stay and will definitely be booking again next time we're in Cork. Thank you, Olive and Kieran!

We stayed at Auburn House recently for 7 nights and we are still talking about what a great time we had. Not the touristy places we went to, which were nice too, but our stay at Auburn House. We had a warm welcome right from the start. Olive, the sweet owner of the B&B, waited up for us to arrive and it was 1am when we finally did due to flight delay. It just got better from there; Olive and Kieran went out of their way to make our stay a great one and gave us lots of information on places to visit and how to get to those places too. They were super helpful and always happy to advise. Note: this B&B has a great location and is super close to shops, pubs, the bus station, and train station- which was super handy for everything that you want to do. Then a little bird mentioned to Olive one day during breakfast that it was my birthday that day, and when we got back to our room after a day of sightseeing, we were so surprised to find birthday balloons and a gorgeous banner decorating the room! Which B&B host would go to that trouble.. it was so touching! I could go on and on about the wonderful person Olive really is but I would need more space to write down everything! Breakfast is hearty and delicious - you get many different cooked options on top of toast, a special type of Irish bread, cereals, juice, coffee, etc. We enjoyed every breakfast that was cooked to perfection for us. After breakfast, if we're lucky and if everyone has vacated the dining room, we get to meet the cute resident Yorkie, Pippa. That was a highlight to our stay for sure! All in all, Auburn House is a fabulous place to stay - the best really if you're looking for a cosy, spacious room with everything you need. (Shower pressure is amazing by the way) The place is just so clean and spotless, be it the room or the dining room. The owners take such pride in maintaining the place. Olive is really a fantastic and special hostess and you will not easily find another person who's as kind-hearted and wonderful as her. We are still reminiscing our stay in Cork. We will never forget Olive and her lovely family, and of course, dear little Pippa. And that last goodbye we had....🥲 Till we get to stay at yours again...
