The location was right where we wanted--very close to city centre. It was a last minute booking, and this B&B was last with availability for the room we needed. The heat was not on all the time--which we were later told is sometimes common with Irish B&B's. Still, it was cold in our room when we arrived, and when asked,...

I was in a second house a few minutes walk down the street. The room was bright & large, the bed comfortable. The bathroom included a jacuzzi tub & towel warmer - unexpected surprises & very much appreciated! I had a accident while in Cork & Helena was extremely helpful in helping me get treatment & rearranging my plans. Breakfast...

The service was friendly and I can't fault that. The rest of the stay was pretty poor. The bed was made of rocks and a sliver of a pillow was provided. I was in agony when I woke up. The paint was peeling in the tiny bathroom and the toilet seat was so old it was discoloured and also peeling...

Helena the owner was lovely and friendly, stayed here last nite following a concert, room was small but clean, 165euros for a double room with no breakfast is a total ripoff! How are these places allowed to charge this kind of money, it's ridiculous

Although I had messaged and stated i would be driving in (3hr drive) and arriving after midday, there was no one in the house to receive me. I waited an hour next door as Booking.com and the bnb next door tried to ring the owner of Achills to no avail. I later was told that the check in times is...

Was staying for one night and it was very cheap in comparison to everywhere else. Room was very nice, hot water in shower all day, good facilities and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of bit centre too and easy to get there by car. Very few car parking places but the owner was very helpful...

We traveled to Cork, very excited to be in one of the cities of our heritage. The outside of this B&B looked quaint so we decided to stay. We were invited in but then had to wait about 30 minutes to be taken to our room because the owner wasn't there. She rushed in but then had to run out...

This was an unfortunate find on our trip to Ireland. The beds were uncomfortable and had rooms were less than basic. They had an odor that was unidentifiable for the most part. There was no breakfast which would simply make this a "bed and..." The hostess occupied the gathering are yo entertain so we were unable to gather at the...

Stayed here for the cork Jazz. In a strange turn of events, we ended up staying here in achill house after an "overbooking" issue in our original b&b. We were instantly welcomed by Helena who provided us with a nice double room with an ensuite which was exactly what we were looking for and expecting per our original booking (which...
