Stayed here for work purposes to be near UCC. Avril and Tony are fabulous hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with a small fridge which is handy. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfasts are fantatstic with very high quality ingredients and served with yummy warm scones. Perfect in every way!

The hosts at Fernroyd house were marvelous. They were a perfect blend of helpful and informative without being over-bearing. We were greeted and given some great suggestions of where to eat and what to see. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this B&B.

This looks like a fabulous B&B, we actually walked past during our stay. I had booked months and months in advance and had that booking confirmed. Much to our disappointment, they cancelled our booking few weeks before due to "overbooking". I would have to assume that a large party had called up and we got bumped in favour of them...not...

Earlier this year, we were looking for a place to stay in February, while visiting my daughter who was studying abroad at Cork University. We hadn't come across the Fernroyd until another very helpful Tripadvisor guest suggested it. I had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before but we were all so glad we did. There were 5 of...

We stayed at Fernroyd House for just one night and wished our stay could've been longer! Avril and Tony were incredibly hospitable and welcoming, and our young son really enjoyed their dog, Chippy. Upon arriving (a bit later than we'd planned) Tony offered to drive us into the center of Cork City so we could enjoy some time at the...

This was my second visit, what can I say about this great B and B. Tony and Avril are the best hosts you can come across, this B and B is well worth a visit and better than any other that you will find.

We've just stayed with Avril and Tony and like many other reviewers, we were well looked after. Unfortunately we experienced miserable weather while in Cork and Fernroyd House was a very welcome respite and nothing was too much trouble. Avril and Tony treat you like family and by the end of your stay you feel like you have known them...

Tony and Avril couldn't be more helpful, providing advice on local areas and varous drives to go on. The room was decorated to a high standard and was bigger than your normal hotel room. Free Wifi and a good irish breakfast capped off what is an excellent place to stay. We will definately be staying there when we return to...

Our family only stayed one night, but wished we had stayed longer. Our room was comfortably appointed, and Tony and Avril are simply wonderful hosts. They provided helpful recommendations on restaurants, sights, and scenic driving routes. They also serve an outstanding breakfast with homemade scones and jam - really tasty! We were able to walk to the city center from...
