I stayed 2 nights here, I really enjoyed the breakfast, had cooked breakfast once, which was amazing and had packed one, because I had to leave early, very friendly and helpful staff. They had free cookies, tea and coffee as well. The room was clean and tidy, wifi was good.

Several aspects of this Guest House are excellent - the rooms, the welcome and the breakfast most notably. However it isn't a very good choice for those arriving by public transport. As the crow flies it's not far from the station, but the steep climb is very significant, whether you take the short-cut or the long way around. During my...

My group and I went to Gabriel House for a boat trip in Cork as part of our University course. First arrived at Gabriel house I was overjoyed to see the outside and the inside was delightful too. Met Valerie, she was a delight. Very polite and friendly. She asked us how we were and made us feel very welcome....

Pro The reception attitude was good. The room was spacious and the toilet shower had good warm water. Only 2-in-1 soap and shampoo was provided. The room was pleasantly warm when entered as it was winter. There is a menu for breakfast in the morning that we could order. Con The main chef was not flexible when we wanted to...

I stayed here for two nights while on a tour of Ireland. I am very happy I did. The building is a very old fashioned design, typical of the area. The location is handy for the city and there's great parking. The hospitable staff were so nice, the breakfast was super with great choice and the rooms were warm and...

Really nice stay, comfortable and quiet, very nicely appointed, Kathleen was welcoming, kind, and funny; and the breakfast was the best I've ever had at any B&B--nice fresh buffet for cold items, and an extensive cook-to-order menu for hot items. I don't know how tasty the other hot items were because the salmon was so good I chose it both...

I have been staying at Gabriel Guesthouse about twice a year for longer business and short leisure weekend trips since 2014. Clean and affordable accommodation with friendly staff. Valerie has always been very helpful when I had to extend my stays suddenly while I was there on business and communication via email beforehand was always quick and satisfactory. The rooms...

Booked online and I was very impressed with the quality of the amenities here and the service as soon as I arrived. The rooms are excellent, modern and spacious (dbl room) and very well appointed. There was an excellent choice of breakfast items - I had the full breakfast. Better still the staff are extremely helpful and cheerful. The Gabriel...

I would recommend this place as a clean and comfortable fit. Simple accommodations but clean and nice. There is no lift so you will have to carry your bags upstairs. There is a free parking lot adjacent to the hotel. Gabriel house is about a ten minute walk to the city center. The breakfast was jam packed when I went...

Thank you so much for taking the time to Review Gabriel House. I am disappointed you could not take up breakfast at the house, I am sure you would have enjoyed it. We stayed 2 nights here, we were in a family room on the top level. Pros: great view from room, big room, great breakfast and breakfast room, very friendly staff and close to city centre. Cons: simple furniture in room, updated but very small bathroom, a long hill to walk up each time you return from the city and no...

Thank you for taking the time to Review Gabriel House. Unfortunately we do have to contend with the elevated position of the house, but the up side to this is that we have some of the vest views in Cork as you had in your room during your stay. I hope you will come again to Cork and hopefully we...
