We have just returned from a lovely 2 night family stay at the Clayton Cork City Centre. Coming from working in Hotels for the past 28 years I must say that it was a very enjoyable experience. All staff were very polite and efficient. The service at breakfast was exceptional and friendly too, from the girls on the Hot buffet to table service. We ate in the Hotel on both nights and the food and service was also exceptional. The only fault that I could find over the whole weekend was I found the shower area in the Leisure Club was in need of a deep clean. This is something that could easily be rectified as all other areas of the Club were fantastic. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and keep up the good work. Overall a really well run Hotel. Michael, Louise, Ollie & Adie

Nice spacious rooms, very clean. They have a great pool and gym also. The city centre is just five minutes walk away from the hotel. Excellent location. The rooms overlooking the river have balconies, and the night skyline from the balcony is perfect. Staff are polite and friendly and are always happy to help.

Very poor, and disappointing, the shower flooded, the breakfast was badly organized, if you have enough staff to order tea/coffee and toast from your table, why can't they just take a breakfast order.!!!!! Surely it would reduce the footfall waiting to be served at a buffet, with only one server!!!! Asked for poached eggs!!!! From the same server that I ordered the toast, tea, and coffee from, twice she passed me, with my poached eggs in hand!!! And gave them away to a man at a random table that said " I'll have em". I eventually got poached eggs, with my now cold breakfast, after the third attempt!!! The underground car park needs some sort of traffic light system it's a crash waiting to happen!!! We had been to a graduation in UCC all day, and a rugby match that evening, when we returned to the hotel around 2200, I asked one of the bar staff could we get a drink please ( unsure of where we are in the Covid regulations) she said "I don't know " went to seek advice!!!! I'm not blaming staff for the poorly, badly, managed, situation, staff looked pissed off and fed up. No one single smile was to be found in the Clayton from staff. Sad really a hotel in the heart of a vibrant City, couldn't produce the goods and make their staff feel valued and proud to work there.
