The Premier Inn Cork City Centre Hotel is frequently praised for its fresh, modern atmosphere and its strategic central location, which allows guests easy access to the city's offerings. While the rooms are generally lauded for their cleanliness and comfort, some guests have noted issues with noise and the lack of amenities such as fridges and microwaves. The service is commended for being friendly, though not without occasional lapses. Despite additional costs for parking and WiFi, many travelers feel the hotel provides good value overall.

What can I say really? It's a Premier Inn. In the middle of a longer holiday where I was only staying in hostels, I decided to treat myself in Cork because I didn't like the sound of either of the hostels that were available. The Premier Inn was a good solution for not blowing my budget while allowing me a bit of comfort of a room to myself.

Maybe my past rare hotel experiences have been too good, but I found myself thinking my own home was nicer than this – which seemed a bizarre thought until I did the maths and realised staying in a Premier Inn was 50% more expensive than one day's rent in my own flat. I don't know, I always had this feeling that paying for a hotel meant you paid for something more luxurious than staying at home, but that was definitely not my actual experience. You don't even get proper toiletries, for one thing; the Bayliss and Harding soap and shower gel are nice, but I still had to bring my own shampoo and conditioner. There isn't really much space to unpack. As far as I know the only place to refill a water bottle was the bathroom sink, which was not particularly cold.

Sadly I didn't get much of a good night's sleep; I'd been stifling a cold on my trip and while I was occasionally waking up to cough on other nights, while staying here I had such bad coughing fits on multiple occasions I started to suspect I was allergic to something in the bed sheets.

I had no issues storing my bag in their luggage room when I arrived before 3pm, so I wasn't tempted to pay extra for an early check-in. Breakfast was not included with my booking, and I balked at what I considered to be quite a high price. It ended up being a non-issue as they started serving at 6:30 and I had a bus to catch at 6:50.

The location is the best part really, being very central in Cork and easy to get to from most of the places you are likely to visit, including the train station. My room had a lovely view onto the Holy Trinity Church.

Overall, it wasn't exactly a mind-blowing experience, but I'm sure it was more refreshing than another night in a below-average hostel would have been, so I'm glad I stayed.

We stayed in Premier Inn for 2 nights in May. It is located right by the city center and about 25mins walk from Cork train station.
The room was small but it had everything we needed for our family of 3. Our 3 year old son had a separate single bed to himself. The coat hangers by the door was a brilliant touch, especially with Irish weather, you’re either in a winter coat or a rain coat.
Our only gripe was the soundproofing of the room wasn’t great. It could be because it was a connecting room, we could hear the TV sounds and the lady singing in the next room.
We add on for the hot buffet breakfast and it was a great value for money + our son ate free.

On arrival to the hotel (can’t recall the man’s name) he was so nice and polite very welcoming to myself and my wife. The hotel was spotless clean, I loved the decor in the reception/restaurant area. It was very cosy and warm. Very relaxing hotel. Its very quiet the room o loud noise or disturbance at night time we slept all night the two nights, we had a garden view room was beautiful room furnished really well the shower was unreal. The bed and pillows were so comfortable I have Disc problems in my back so it was a major plus for me with beds . For us the entire hotel was just so beautiful and just so peaceful for us. This will be my new hotel to go and stay anytime I’m back home in cork. Value for money for stay was very good we didn’t have any food as we thought it was expensive a bit but we spent near enough the same else where lol. So the next time we would have food there. Overall nothing to complain about as it’s perfect.

Asked for a room clean and fresh towels came back that evening and no room clean or fresh towels left when asked at the desk that we would need a spare pillow for child with needs we told no! After telling her my husband and other son need the spare pillows that in room as they need keep heads high but we not allowed another one! My son with autism wanted burger but didn’t want the cheese or burger sauce and was told there made that way we have remove it when comes to table! So he only ate chips. Than asked for berry and some raspberries both was on menu and was told they ran out of raspberry dust?? We parked in the Q-parking lot it’s a good walk from the hotel so they need to think about older generation or people that can’t talk that far! Breakfast wasn’t what they advertised! Paid €80 for dinner on first night for two adults and two children and kids left hungry we actually found a pub that was about 10min walk that had fantastic food we ate from there the four nights we in cork. The hotel is clean but staff need to be more sociable. My husband just said hello to male manager he closed his eyes at him!!!!

Six of us (family group) stayed in three rooms just for one night. We arrived early (11am) having flown in from Manchester for a cheeky break. We had hoped that one room might be ready for us early and were prepared to pay any charge for this, just for the convenience of freshening up and leaving our bags. Thankfully the Receptionist, think he was called Jonathan, was able to check all of us into our rooms early without any fuss at all. He was really friendly and welcoming and we were really grateful for his help. This particular Premier Inn is only 12 months old and everything was clean and shiny and new. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, no issues at all. We took up the restaurant deal which included 2 course evening meal with a drink and breakfast next morning and were really happy that we did. At €33 per person it’s an absolute bargain and the food was excellent. The breakfast alone would be worth doing, a lovely cooked and continental selection, fresh and plentiful - just what you need after a night enjoying the craic! Beds were super-comfy, everyone had a good nights rest. Jonathan was on hand as we checked out and were were able to leave our bags for the day as we had a late flight home. Again, he was so friendly and helpful, a genuine nice guy. We would stay here again on our next visit to this fabulous City and look forward to doing so in the near future!

Great hotel for accessible location to local attractions. Very walkable area as well. Staff is friendly and visible when needed. The rooms are very comfortable, plenty if storage in the double room with a great view of the River Lee. There is no room service but you can order from the hotel restaurant and bring to your room. Good meal deals as well from the restaurant. The bathroom had a wonderful deep tub for relaxing after a day of walking. The rooms do not have a fridge or microwave, so if you need to keep things cold or reheat you need other options. The rooms and hotel itself were very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the fresh water and lemon water in the lobby to fill your water bottles with for the day or as a refresh upon your return. It's generally a safe area and elevators and floors are unlocked by your keyboard. It was quiet in the room areas and the lobby in the evening with a small bar was encouraging to relax and mingle in.

I had noticed Premier Inn several times in recent times and so we jumped at the chance and planned our overnight stay in Cork at a hotel in this chain. And it was absolutely not a bad choice.

The Premier in Cork City Center is centrally located but very quiet in a side street directly on the river. The city center is within walking distance in 5 minutes.

The hotel and rooms are modern and comfortably furnished. There is everything you need for the stay. The bathroom had a bathtub with shower function.

In the rear area of the ground floor is the restaurant, which serves as a breakfast room in the morning. For breakfast there is a good selection from English Breakfast to Pancake everything is available.

The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

A parking garage is located about 8-10 minutes walk from the hotel. There you can park at a special rate if you indicate it at the reception.
On the street in front of the hotel there are parking spaces, but they are with parking meters. Due to a construction site right in front of the hotel, loading and unloading was a bit difficult as there was no real stopping place. You had to close the road for a second. But the Irish, as everywhere, are tolerant and patient.

I would book the hotel again anytime and will definitely come back to Premier Inn more often.

I arrived around 12,15..the rain was lashing down. Those hanging around reception were deciding whether to go out and get drenched, or stay inside with a cuppa.

The hotel is located a 5-6 minute walk from the city centre. It is a large hotel with reception, bar and restaurant / breakfast room on the ground floor. There is a ramp from street level up, which is useful for disabled access. Important for me. The hotel will store luggage for you.

I knew I was early, but one can always be hopeful that they would check me in straight away. The ginger haired receptionist made it very clear no rooms were available yet, and to come back in an hour or so. Which I did, and took a seat opposite the reception desk, which she passed through numerous times.

At 1.45pm, another couple arrived. A different receptionist advised them they could check in early for a fee, which they did. Then someone else came to check in and was offered the same deal.
So I went to reception and asked why I was not offered this offer, and she could not offer a reason, but advised I could now check in for the additional fee.

Premier in rooms are similar all over the UK..good comfy beds etc. the room allocated to me was quite a walk from the lifts. One good bonus is that the rooms have tea/coffee making facilities.

I had booked the dining package which included two course dinner plus drink…add third course for just three euros..plus breakfast. I have used this deal at a number of Premier Inns around the country and found it good value. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The choice of food in all courses is varied. However, the choice of drinks included I found poor. You could have a pint of cider, but not a pint of low or zero alcohol cider?! I did opt for the three euro third course and chose the sticky toffee pudding, which was gorgeous.

Breakfast was standard Premier Inn with both hot and cold options, beverages, cereal etc. it was a busy breakfast time, but I was able to get a table no problem.

After getting up and Before breakfast, I decided to have a shower. Unfortunately there was a problem with the shower tap (not the shower head or hose) and hot water shot out in all directions, all over the floor, down the wall etc. I did clear the puddled water up.

On check out I did notify reception, and showed them a short video of the situation. The kind receptionist on duty did apologise, but said that due to almost full occupancy it was hard to keep on top of maintenance, and that some guests did not notify of any problems encountered.

This was a very mixed stay. Yes good city location and comfy bed. Different receptionists - different attitudes. But shower taps that leaked hot water is not acceptable.

My friend and I stayed here one night. The location is City Center, which was ideal, and we liked the fact that it was a newly done building. On their website they mention that there is a Car Park since they do not have Parking as a part of their hotel (get your parking ticket validated), but because of the amount of construction taking place right near the Hotel and around the City Center, it ended up being a lot farther and so I was hoping for some Street Parking. There is nothing about Street Parking on their website or on Google, so hopefully others find this helpful. There is some Street Parking along the river, right in front of Cork College, which is the building adjacent to the Hotel. Paid parking is from 8.30 to 18.30 and so overnight Parking is free. The challenge is paying for the Parking. The Cork parking website is not very helpful. A Front desk person mentioned that I could go to a store called Daybreak, which is like a convenience store, and purchase a parking disc and place it on my dashboard. Alternatively, you can go online and download the app, but you will need to register your vehicle on the app, but if you are driving a Rental, you are not able to do that since the car is already registered. Fortunately, I was able to find a temporary street spot, but I wanted to mention this because it is difficult to find good information about parking.

The experience otherwise with the hotel was good. Check in with simple and our room was clean and bright and updated I'm very comfortable. The only negative is the tub. It is very deep and very slippery. So if you are an older person, or anyone really, it can be very dangerous. I would encourage you to ask them for a slip proof mat to put in the tub, to prevent a fall.

We added breakfast to our reservation and they had some decent options, anyone can find something to eat there. They had Irish breakfast options available or more healthy options like cereal and yogurt and fruit. If you do add the Meal plan option, which also includes dinner, please be mindful that Dinner officially ends at 9: 30pm. Online you will find that it says 10:00 p.m. The Staff we encountered we're very nice, especially a man by the name of Pete, which I believe may have been a Manager. He assisted with alleviating some frustration that I had and I really appreciated that. I would recommend this location if you are passing through Cork on your way to the Ring of Kerry or staying a few nights to explore the City.

The hotel is in a great location - 5 mins walk from Oliver Plunkett Street - but also quiet despite being close to bars. Our room was clean and spacious, and check in/out was fairly smooth. The only slight issue we had was the bathroom - we had been given an accessible room, but the shower was a little too low and we couldn't move it. Neither could we have a bath as there was no plug and when we asked at reception we were told "the manager is away on holiday so we can't do anything. We don't have spare plugs." Overall, it's a very good hotel, but we were a little disappointed by the staff.
