Stayed 1 night here in September 2016. Loved the hosts Jackie and Charlie; they made us feel very welcome and cooked an excellent breakfast for us. On a very steep hill, so be prepared for a hike. However, it's very close to the city centre and we were able to walk everywhere. The house is adorable, and the room was...

We were a family of 11 staying at Acorn House whilst visiting family and friends in Cork. Jackie and Charlie treated us so well we didn't want to leave. Yes it's a steep hill up to the top of the hill and parking can sometimes be problematic but nothing impossible. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable with everything you...

Spent two nights in this very centrally located guesthouse - it is only two minutes walk right to the very centre of Cork city. Very easy to find. Had a good welcome from the owner, Charlie, who was very friendly and helpful. My room was extremely comfortable too, very clean and en suite bathroom was good. Breakfast was very satisfying...

Two stays in Acorn House recently, first visit two nights, second visit one night. Not the cheapest, breakfast an extra €7. Handy location for Cork city, but located on one of the steepest streets I've ever driven. My heart was in my mouth trying to drive up the street! No parking at the B&B. Limited street parking, at an angle,...

I stayed here for one night on a Paddywagon tour and it was great. The location close to the city center made it easy to walk around. The room was quiet and had lots of natural light. I had to rush out before breakfast (which looked very good) to continue on my tour but the host was very nice.

This B&B was a perfect place to stay for us while in Cork. The location was central (just up Patrick's Hill) and within walking distance to all main attractions and pubs. The breakfast was great as were the hosts. Would stay there again when Cork calls!

Acorn House was just down the hill from another B&B that was full, she suggested trying Acorn House, luckily we were greeted by Charlie and he showed us a great room waiting just for us. This B&B is all about location. Just a short walk to many little coffee bars, restaurants, pubs, and of course shopping. Charlie could not have...

Acorn House is a delightful bed and breakfast located midway up St. Patrick's Hill in Cork. This was our first stop after our arrival at Shannon Airport and we were quite early but Jackie greeted us at the door with a big smile, let us store our bags and gave us some suggestions of what to do until our 1pm...
