I stayed at The Address midweek with a business associate and we were both pleasantly surprised at the level of Hospitality, the Ambiance, the interior decor, style and the attention of the bar and restaurant staff to our every need. Great menu and drinks selection and a warm stylish room. All round excellent experience on a one night stay in Cork city in an excellent location close to the trains and a short walk to the city centre.

We choose this hotel because of location and style. Having known something of its history it suited us perfectly . We anticipated a good nights sleep. However that was not to be. We checked in round 5.30 pm and were given room 121. Later we were told this is at the rear of the hotel. Regardless of that there was a lovely view . We had planned on going for a Indian meal downtown but being tired we choose the restaurant in the hotel. The food was good. Not spectacular but wholesome. After we watched some tv and went to bed. There was a generator or some very noisy equipment running in the area underneath the room. I rang reception at 11.30 pm and was told it would switch off half an hour after the kitchen closed. At 12 midnight. This didn’t happen. I rang reception again at 3.30 am and told the man I didn’t appreciate being lied to. It was switched off after 6am . This was the only time I had some sleep. My wife luckily had earplugs. She would use these for swimming but they were handy in this hotel. We won’t be staying here again despite having 850 excellent reviews. If you are booking a room here make sure its not at the back
