Detailed Reviews
Cork is a very expensive place to stay and this does represent value for money. I booked this on Hotel.com and there was no mention that this was apartment student accommodation. However all this meant was that the rooms are private and lockable, with a very modern ensuite bathroom, clean and modern and with very fast wifi. There are no tvs in the room but there is a sharable kitchen/lounge with a tv. The mattress wasnt brilliant and you could hear the springs twang from time to time but the main issue is the noise from the adjacent rooms. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. Bring earplugs!

We travelled from Kilkenny (4.5hrs on the train) to be told at 3.30pm our room was not ready, not cleaned yet, we had a concert so needed to get ready! There were so many people waiting for rooms it was crazy! Very chaotic and too many people taking over on reception. A very rude brunette with glasses told us the norm for check in was between 5+10pm. Never heard that before and I've worked in hospitality. Imagine arriving and your rooms not ready at 10pm what a joke.
Apparently they were cleaning them, when we eventually got into our rooms at like 6pm, they were not clean! I think if we didnt have to wait so long for our room we could have overlooked the cleanliness of the rooms.. One of the receptionist said that this delay had happened before.... learn from your mistakes!

The accommodation is ideally situated in the Centre of Cork, near all the attractions and next to a Tesco supermarket. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
However, bear in mind that this is not a hotel or a hostel - it is student accommodation which is let out during the summer when the students have gone home. This means that the rooms are very spartan with nothing much in them apart from a bed, desk/chair and a bathroom. There is no TV, no tea/coffee facilities, no bin or lamps. The only lighting was the very bright main ceiling light, which was too bright for me, meaning that at night it was more comfortable to sit in darkness.
There is a fully equipped kitchen/lounge on each floor, with nice views over the River Lee. Check in is from 4pm which might be a little late for some, although I understand you can leave your bags in reception if required.
I would stay here again, but not for any longer than one or two nights. All in all though, not bad for the price.

We stayed for 2 nights, 9th & 10th July. The reception staff were all fantastic and it is a great location.Although the bed is a standard double it seems smaller because one side is against the wall and a wardrobe is against the foot of the bed, it was really uncomfortable for two people sharing. Very hot first night but too late for reception, husband so uncomfortable he went for a walk around Cork at 5:30am. Next day asked about window and was told how to fully open which helped, also given a fan which didn't work. Still an uncomfortable night due to bed, receptionist told me that they are not really for two people. We asked about toiletries and told not supplied but there was a shop on the corner of the road. No bin in room or common area. No noise from nearby pubs but a lot of noise from other people coming in.

The location is pretty great, close to everything. And the room was clean, simple and spartan but fine for what I needed. However, there is a very loud dance party very nearby each night that goes on way past midnight. If you want a quiet night to sleep, choose somewhere else!

See the nice picture that suggests that the property faces the river. I am not sure where that is, but I did not see it. When booking the property is it apparent that it is student housing no. It is a little odd to see security people - two of them as soon as you arrive at the property. It says check in at 4 pm. Do not believe it - that is a scam. Check in begins at 4 pm. That means if the rooms are not clean you wait until they are ready. They will not tell you how long that might mean.

Really great location to be settled in if visiting Cork City! Centrally located, step out the front, and you are one the main street with plenty of bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. The room was clean and plenty big for me and my wife. Lots of storage and very nice bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check out the common room! Ours had a view overlooking the river. The only complaint, is the mattress. I took off one star, some may take off two stars. It was thin and springy. But the location is the trade off.

If you want to be in the centre of Cork near all the life - this is a perfect place to stay. Super clean and well maintained for a great price. The staff can’t do enough to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend if you are visiting Cork. Huge thanks to Claire on reception- you are one in a million!

Cork student residence well located, but extremely expensive, very noisy. Impossible to work, don't forget the noise canceling headphones, earplugs are not enough at night. Between the parties, the people hanging around drunk and the surrounding bars and restaurants, tough!
