Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here our 3rd night in Ireland. Norman, our host, told stories that made us laugh and he has a great rye sense of humor. Loved the dogs too. They were so sweet but kept out of the way. The room was very nice. It was a little smaller than others we stayed in but was exactly what we needed...somewhere to sleep. The bed and breakfast is decorated very nicely and is a very quiet place to stay. It is located very close to Blarney Castle and you can see the birds fly out in the castle in the morning from the bedroom window. Breakfast was really good, too. Loved the porridge!! While we were there we discovered we had a light out on our rental car and Norman called the rental place for us and helped us figure out what we needed to do. He even drove with us to the local body shop to show us where it was and made sure they were giving us a reasonable deal to fix it. I would recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Norman was very welcoming. The accommodations were comfortable and very well kept. The breakfast was delicious! Located very close to Blarney castle and the town. Would gladly stay again in the future.

John and myself Allan, stayed at Valerie's B&B, our very first B&B experience, what an enjoyable polite host, and adorable little dog Molly, room was very comfortable and clean and breakfast most delicious, we actually had to ask for half portions as they were huge plates, close to Blarney Castle, and Woollen Mills and some quaint pubs, we ate at these several times, easy walk to end of road to catch bus into Cork, to see the city, we loved the quietness of the country village. And will definitely love to stay and catch up with Valerie and Molly on our next trip to Ireland

After reading the reviews and having a number of other excellent B&B experiences, we were really excited to stay at this B&B. The host appear to be a busy mom who is juggling a lot. She was nice, but seemed to be rushed for time and not very interested in chatting. The room was pleasant, although a bit dusty. What really bothered us was that her children were quite loud and were running up and down the stairs/ playing outside of our room until at least 9:30 PM or so. After that, we were kept up for half of the night by the family's dogs who we're barking throughout the night. Breakfast was good and our host seemed less rushed in the AM.

Disappointed. Not what we expected after reading the reviews. Our room was very small and could have been cleaner. The breakfast area was very small and crowded. The outside grounds were not kept up. Too long of walk into Blarney. Our host was nice.

My daughter, granddaughters(ages 6&3) and I spent 2 nights at Valerie's lovely home. She was waiting for us when we arrived from Dublin and made us feel right at home. We had two comfortable rooms with all the amenities needed. Breakfast was made to order and very good. Valerie was very helpful in helping find our way around Blarney. Since we had a car, we drove to Blarney Castle but it was walkable. Our stay in Blarney was made special thanks to Valerie.

My husband, daughter and I had a very nice one-night stay at Beechwood House B and B. After a long day of driving and then visiting the Blarney Castle, we checked into our B and B. We thought we would go out again later that evening, but we were so comfortable sitting by the fire and being entertained by Valerie's two sweet dogs that we ended up staying in for the night. That should explain why we felt so at home in this quaint, immaculate, friendly atmosphere. We had a lovely breakfast and even got some much needed help with directions. We will highly recommend the Beechwood House to our friends and family when they visit Ireland!

This is a very nice and peaceful place to stay, we only stayed for a night but the B&B owners made us feel at home.We did not try the full breakfast but I am sure it would have been great.
It is within walking distance 15 mts to Blarney castle.
If you are looking to stay in County Cork, plan to stay in Blarney.
Its a small town and very friendly town.

Norman was a great host. The room was clean, quiet and had great wifi for our 15-year old. We only stayed one night, so we really did not get a chance to visit with Val. Norman was entertaining and had great tips about where to go for some fun nightlife. A short downhill walk to the village. Also, he knows all the cab drivers, so just hopping in a cab all I had to say was "We're staying with Norman."

I'd had a bad day and I was traveling alone. Valerie was sympathetic and thoughtful. She directed me where to find a good dinner and told me how to find the castle. The beds there are orthopedic and I slept wonderfully. Breakfast was hot and more than I could have hoped for. The Dawes helped me out with my luggage and stood out front waving as I drove away. I recommend staying a couple of nights here if you want to unwind and really see the area.

I am afraid I can't answer that question either. We always travel with our own appliances that have dual voltage so don't worry about it. They were lovely people. I am sure they could find one for you if needed. May b&b's did have them
