We visited Ireland from the US. When I saw the photos I immediately wanted to stay here & booked our rooms. When they day came for our arrival I began to worry - what if it’s not as good as it looked? Well, that was a complete waste of my time. This was absolutely the best lodging we experienced throughout our travels in Ireland. The rooms are very large and absolutely gorgeous!! Even better in person than in the photos! When I show photos to my friends they all say, “you actually got to stay there?” which always brings a huge smile to my face. They provide a tea kettle and a selection of teas and coffee in each room. The sunroom where breakfast is served is delightful and the perfect place to start your day (along with the delicious food). The antiques and paintings are beautiful and have some great stories behind some of them. Olwen and Douglas are the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome the moment we walked in the door. There were other guest there during our stay and they introduced us to each other and encouraged us to sit in the gathering room, enjoy complimentary tea and snacks and get to know one another. It was just so very welcoming and appreciated. We met some wonderful travelers and shared tips and experiences with each other. It is obvious that the hosts genuinely enjoy their guests and treat them so graciously. I truly did not want to leave Maranatha Country House and hope to return in the future. Next time we will definitely stay longer!…

Only minutes from Blarney Castle, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Upon arrival, our delightful host upgraded us to the Regal Suite, and it is indeed regal. It absolutely beautiful, huge, filled with antiques, an incredibly comfortable four poster bed, and an amazing hot tub for two. You truly feel like royalty in this suite. Many thoughtful touches are provided throughout. The grounds are gorgeous, and the living room, drawing room are decorated to be fit for Interior Digest magazine. What a special experience that we will never forget. Thank you.

This place and the grounds outside are amazing. I've stayed in a ton of BnBs and Maranatha is in my top 5, especially for the price I paid. I came with a group of friends and we were able to get the rooms with the attached balcony which we totally took advantage of. I liked the decor, it had personality and prefer it to some of the sterilized hospital feel of some other BnBs. Our hosts were very nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

What a special place to stay! Only minutes away from Blarney Castle and set in such lovely grounds. Olwen, the hostess and owner, is one of a kind. We stayed in the Regal Suite and I highly recommend booking this room. It's the most expensive room at the B&B but at only 130 Euros a night it's a steal! The breakfast is extensive and delicious. The bed was so comfortable and I absolutely loved the antique decor in the house and rooms. The room was fitted with a tea kettle and a variety of teas and biscuits. Loved it! Thanks for a special stay.

What a beautiful, beautiful inn. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are something to see. Alwyn is a lovely host that sincerely loves sharing her family home with her guests. You can tell that she is genuine in personality and in her attentiveness. The beautiful breakfast area was just fantastic! What a touch with decor and the food was fresh, tasty, and had great presentation. I will visit this B&B again! Cheers.

I echo all the sentiments of the other reviews. Stayed with my Mother for her 80th Birthday, little did I know how special this place was - my Mother and I were overwhelmed by the fantastic room, which was spotless, the wonderful and very accommodating host and the great Breakfast. Would go back in a heart beat.

The reception by our host was super friendly and personal. Excellent room with decorated to a very high standard in the style that fits this country home. Immense care has been put into the room, the common drawing room and the very bright and joyful breakfast room. Lovely grounds around the house and a very quiet and peaceful environment. Very comfortable and large king size bed. The flower decorations made it all look very pleasant and especially colourful by using the right combination of silk flowers. We were made to feel like friends of the family rather than just guests and with all the great tips about restaurants en golf courses we enjoyed our three night stay very much. If we are ever back in the area there is no doubt that we will stay here again.

The highlight of our vacation. Our hosts Douglas and Olwen were fabulous. The home was immaculate, the bedroom was well appointed and the bed was luxurious. Breakfast was delicious. However the company was second to none. 💜

A lovely grand place to stay in a great location as so close to Blarney but out in a rural quiet area. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Every bedroom was unique. The food for breakfast was good. The owners were friendly and helpful. We would definitely return again.
