Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ita is fabulous! Very welcoming and gracious. We enjoyed our stay very much. Felt like home. Wonderful breakfast and cozy room. We were offered tea upon arrival, which was very much appreciated. WiFi was available and worked well.

This B&B was recommended by another B&B because there was a dog show in town this week-end and accommodations were hard to find. Ita was a very nice hostess and her breakfast was very nice. It was a great price but just a bit plain. It fit our bill seeing as how we were in need of a place to stay.

This B&B would have been near impossible to find without the GPS and is off the beaten path to say the least. Not more than 10km from Blarney Castle it is a quiet and welcoming little B&B. Ita was most accomodating and kind and very tolerant of our two small children, to include furnishing the room with a cot. The price was great and so was the breakfast. The room was a bit cold at night (it was November however) and the en suite bathroom lacked a bit to be desired, but all in all a great option for a family looking for a value stay in County Cork planning to see Blarney Castle!

I booked this B&B because of the pictures. It was just as it showed and more. It was hard to find but thanks to the GPS we found it. We loved it since it was in the country and away from town noise. Even though we arrived a little late and tired our hostess met us at the door and offered hot tea and homemade refreshments. Then asked us to relax in the glassed in sitting room. It was wonderful and cozy. She even lit a little fireplace for us. It was so relaxing and comfortable after a long days drive and site seeing. We had a wonderful visit and would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to be close to town but not stay in town.

We had booked in the B&B although we didn't really know what we could see around Cork.
First of all we were welcome with drinks, tea, coffee, orange juice for the children, and scones.
Then we were given 2 rooms instead of the family room we had booked. This was really nice from our guest to give us an additional room without extra fees.
Then, we went to the Blairs Inn, to spend the evening. This pub serves all day, and there is Irish traditional music every Monday from May to September, including a very friendly Irish dancing training done by one of the musicians. Very good music. The day after, we went to Kinsale, very nice and typical harbour. The B&B is nearly Blarney castle, not far from Jameson experience (Middletown), not far from Cobh (Titanic Experience), Fota Wildpark... We didn't have time to do everything. If we had known this, we would have stayed longer in this B&B. Moreover, it's very nice and quiet, very convenient for a family, although at 10 mns only from Cork.
We really enjoyed it.

This was our first B&B ever, and Ita was so kind. She offered us tea right away and wanted us out of the rain. She was very considerate or our wellbeing. The place itself is okay. It's mostly a hallway without much else. The sunroom is available for sitting but we didnt really know where else we were allowed to go, so when it got dark and the sunroom was cold, we didnt really know where else to hang out (we had 2 rooms between friends).

The biggest complaint is that wifi didn't work in the bedrooms. And when no communal place to go when it is cold, we didnt really get the wifi amenity very much.

Breakfast was good though! There was a ton to eat! We didnt have to eat lunch that day. and again Ita was GREAT! Everything else just seemed under par compared to the other places we stayed.

This was an extremely uncomfortable B&B, not very clean. It was also hard to find, even with map quest. The breakfast was cold and not very well prepared. The rooms were dirty and uncomfortable and there was no heating. We were looking for assistance with the heating at night. No one was available to help.

Stayed 2 nights in Late April. The house is a little dated as others have said but it did nothing but make us miss our grandparents. The knickknacks were wonderful. The last night we sat our on the parch and it was so great. Fergus and Ita were interested in us being from Texas and we had great talks. Food spread was plentiful. It is close to Blarney so we got to visit the pub at Muskerry Arms. Only issue was that being so far out, cabs were not an option to get to and from Cork. Best thing, Ita turned on the heated blankets so my wife melted into the sheets after her sower...so cozy.

Directions and signage was very good.
Hostess was very welcoming. Tea and coffee was offered as we arrived. Recommendation for dinner was a nice pub in town nearby.
Rooms were nice but dated. One of the rooms we stayed in had a shower that leaked.
Breakfast was very good. Everyone enjoyed it.
Ita is a wonderful host.
