My wife and I stayed here for one night while visiting Blarney and Cork. We enjoyed our stay very much and will stay here again in future visits. The hostess was very nice and gave us a warm welcome. The home is very nice and clean. The location is great for walking to Blarney castle, shops, and pubs. We had to leave very early so we did not eat their breakfast.

Great locale, very clean, well appointed, large room, comfortable beds ammeter right across the street cook the blarney castle. Great full irish breakfast and decent price, however upon our arrival, the owner carol here is at the door and within 30 seconds began to complain that we had reserved or nights stay on a third party site such as priceline.Com and how they take success a big percentage for doing so...followed by a solicitation for a full breakfast in the morning for an upcharge. Hmmm...we booked a bed and breakfast stay so breakfast should've been included. We didn't book a bed but would've been willing to pay for the upgraded breakfast without the guilt trip. Carol you may wish to offer simple breads and butter include in the price AND for a fee, upgraded breakfast....without the unprofessional comments.

Very friendly and helpful hostess in Carol. The home is inviting, the yard is scenic, and the location ideal for our plans. The rooms are decorous, with clean and comfortable beds and the normal amenities; and we liked the "electric shower" with instant hot water. The homemade Irish breakfast was plentiful and well-presented. This is a great find.

After looking for a B and B at 2 other places that were full we were referred to Meadow Bank. Great recommendation. Carol was lovely as she warmly welcomed us into her home, The room was updated and decorated nicely. The room and bath were a little small but my husband I fit just fine. Carol was so helpful in giving info about the area and offered to look something us for that were trying to do. Breakfast was delicious. All in all, great find

This was a great location to visit Blarney Castle (walking distance) and Cork (short bus ride away). Carol gave us a warm welcome and assisted us with dinner recommendations and the bus schedule to Cork.

Carol

Thank you so much for your lovely, warm, accommodating and inviting welcome. You are a credit to Blarney, to Co. Cork and to Ireland and it's Tourism Industry and we wish you and your family continued success and good health.

We very much enjoyed your lovely home which was clean, neat and tidy.

We enjoyed your breakfasts, your insights, your knowledge of the area, your assistance with directions and, you were right, Meadow Bank B and B is the perfect place to explore Blarney, Cork and the Western parts of Cork and into Kerry.

We were only going to stay for one night, planning to travel to other B and B's on our journey. Due to all that has been mentioned above we decided to stay three nights - the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday prior to Easter 2014.

It was lovely to chat with your other guests, who were from California, USA, at the informal breakfasts; the breakfasts being tasty, filling and a great starter for the day.

If and when we return to Blarney and Co. Cork we would, without hesitation, revisit Meadow Bank B and B and we would recommend it to anyone.

Must make mention of Helen, Carol's assistant, who was a very nice lady too and of course Snowy, Carol's West Highland Terrier, who our daughter fell in love with.

Enjoy warm Irish hospitality...

Kind regards

Dave, Cathy and Vicki (VC)

We arrived late in the day with no prior warning and Carol was just wonderful. Everything was so lovely, the room warm and spacious ( big enough for the 3 of us). And it was nice to be on one level for a change, no lugging bags upstairs. It is in walking distance of restaurants and shops.
Breakfast was great and Carol was very helpful with travel advice.

We would highly recommend this beautiful b and b.
