We stayed last year and again this past September, each time for a week. The house is warm and friendly, and the furniture is comfortable and cozy. Declan and Bernie feed you a full Irish breakfast, warm baked scones/breads and home-made jellies. The grounds are...More
There are numerous bland hotels in Ennis if you just want a bed and ensuite. However if you want genuine culture (none of your manufactured five star spas), stay at Newpark House.
This is the real McCoy. The grounds are beautiful and so rural (yet...More
We really enjoyed our stay at Newpark House. Situated on a wooded lot, up a narrow gravel drive sits the majestic 2-story manor home. The 300-year old house is lovingly furnished with antiques and collectibles from all over the country. We were well treated by...More

It is probably about 1 mile into town center from Newpark House. Several quests have walked to town while we were there. You could call for a taxi. Your best bet is to contact Declan at Newpark House to see if any buses go to the shopping center about 1/4 mile up the road or how much a taxi might cost. The center of town is a lot of walking, but worth the effort to see all it's quaint nook and cranny side streets. We hope you get to enjoy it.
