My friend and I had a short stay but it was perfect. Quiet, an interesting house with great character and very helpful hosts. When you pull through the gate and up the drive you enter another time. Didn't hear another soul in the house until...More

This charming house in a beautiful setting was a little difficult to locate, even with GPS. The downstairs rooms were interesting and inviting and the breakfast room in

I have just checked all the electrical outlets in all our rooms and all were working. I'm sorry you did not tell someone your difficulties and we could have tried to help. All the electrical wiring is modern. Thank you, Declan

It is probably about 1 mile into town center from Newpark House. Several quests have walked to town while we were there. You could call for a taxi. Your best bet is to contact Declan at Newpark House to see if any buses go to the shopping center about 1/4 mile up the road or how much a taxi might cost. The center of town is a lot of walking, but worth the effort to see all it's quaint nook and cranny side streets. We hope you get to enjoy it.
