Never again, money taken on arrival ,160 for a twin room, no breakfast included…. Everything was dated, windows dirty. No tea or coffee facilities in room, no hairdryer, not even a socket beside the bed to charge your phone. Shower needed a good clean. We went to the bar later as it looked nice from the outside but left after one drink. Never again
Rooms old and dirty. There was a peep hole in our door with no glass over it so people could see straight into the room. Flush and drainage not good in the bathrooms, brown dirt in the bath. The bar and restaurant looked really nice but as soon as you walked in the door into the hotel you could smell old dirty carpet. They took our payment without authorization. We were supposed to get our rates adjusted for a wedding rate but they never resolved it so when checking out the full price was taken and they said there was no one around to fix it. I have emailed the company who have not replied. Some of our friends stayed in the higher floors and they said there rooms were really nice so maybe they are refurbishing from the top down. Receptionist girls helpful fetching irons and hairdryers.…
Everything is very dirty, the walls are dirty, the bedding was dirty, the windows are dirty, the floor is not vacuumed, the room is full of dust, there is no brush for the toilet, the TV is not working, there is no bathtub in the bathroom, there is no hair dryer, the light in the room is not working, the staff is not interested and unprofessional, the club next door is open until 04:00 on Sundays, you can't sleep, drunk and drugged people enter the hotel from the street because the night porter lets them in... The worst accommodation ever!!! Highly recommended to everyone to avoid this place!
We stayed at Queens for a weekend wedding in Ennis and were pretty happy with our room. Bed could have been more comfortable but apart from that, the room was large (303), huge windows to let in air and light, clean and lots of space. There is no getting away from the noise but with the hotel location, it is unavoidable and I definitely recommend asking for a higher floor. The rooms don't have tea and coffee facilities, hairdryers or ironing facilities but these are available upon request and the hotel staff cannot do enough to help when asked. They are also very friendly. All in all, location cannot be beat and we had a lovely stay.
Worst hotel experience I've ever had and I paid £244 for 2 nights (not including breakfast) There was: - no kettle for tea/coffee - no fridge to keep drinks cold - no hair dryer - no extra loo roll Walls are paper thin!! So you'll be kept awake and you can hear everything from your neighbouring "hotel" residents Walls look grubby In need of some investment just to cater for the simplest of needs
The exterior was shabby and this set the tone for the interior. Upon arrival there was a musty smell. The girls in reception were very pleasant and friendly, I have no doubt but they were following procedure in having me pay for my accomodation BEFORE having to sign a disclaimer with regard to noise from hotel night club. Stayed in Room 117, the room was shabby with old furniture, lighting was non-existent only light was a bad light fixture on the wall, a night light would give as much light, NO TABLE LAMP. Room was across from stairs and lift, next to reception and fire door leading to more bedrooms and the night club hence nothing but noise until after 2 a.m Floor boards creaked with movement in rooms above and alongside bedroom. The bathroom was absolutely vile and the bed very uncomfortable, the bed lined was crisp and clean. Parked in Abbey Street car park as per instruction from hotel BUT they conveniently omitted to tell me that parking would cost one euro per hour. When you factored in this cost on top of the 149 euro it is very expensive, for a 3* hotel the only positive thing is its location. I had stayed the previous two nights in Loughrea in a 4.5* hotel for 99 euro per night for B&B.…
Arrived at 3pm to book in. Room not ready and told us to return in an hour. Asked to pre-pay and sign a disclaimer in relation to noise from nightclub which we were told would occur later. Main interest was in having disclaimer signed and pre-payment. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was of extremely poor standard - carpets were old, stained and smelly, bed uncomfortable. Overall this hotel is old and very run down. The rate of €155 did not include breakfast, (wouldn’t have eaten there anyway). You expect a certain standard for such a rate. This was a big mistake and we will not be returning
Arrived at hotel after booking in advance was told there was a fault and the hotel had no rooms available. over the next 2 hours the hotel told us they would have rooms if we could wait. back and forth over a couple of hours were ultimately told they would not be providing us rooms. By this stage it was 9pm and we struggled to find alternative accommodation. The one member of staff did not no what to do or handle the situation no manager or management on site. Was told they would process refund over the phone they didn't bother. My advice you may think you are getting a deal but honestly not worth the hassle. plus all the facilities were closed on site.
Great room, value, service and breakfast, I'd return for sure, don't be misguided by the entrance as it's side street but all is good on entry upstairs to reception, Saoirse the receptionist was so helpful, I would return here again for sure
Unfortunately our room was over the bar and across from the nightclub which meant we had music below us and coming through the windows till after 2am. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were polite and the breakfast was great!! A great spot if you are there for the night or weekend away and want to experience the nightlife 😉
