I always stay at the Rowan Tree hostel while visiting Ennis. They have dorms or private rooms. I chose the private room. The Rowan Tree is right near the center of town and an easy walk to visit the many shops and pubs in the area. While parking can be a bit difficult to arrange, you can find parking in...

We (three boys, one girl) had a six bed dorm which was quite big. Stable beds. Unfortunately only two of them with a separate light. Water-tap a bit annoying. Clean, big bathroom. Friendly lounge with Gaelic sayings, incl. English translation and pronounciation, on the wall. Only one computer there, but always accessible. Nice, friendly well informed staff. The Rowan Tree Hostel was a lot bigger than I had imagined, but checking in and out was a breeze. The beds were nothing to write home about, but the whole place was very nice and clean. I would also like to give a big shoutout to the bar/restaurant staff: Conor, for being the super-est of visors (and for his...

Had a horrible stay here, awful staff and awful facilities. Would avoid at all costs. Staff were very unfriendly and unpleasant from the start which set the tone for the rest of the stay. Will not be going back at any stage, worst hostel I've ever been to.

For the cost of a shared dorm at a nearby hostel, we got a private room at Rowan Tree. It's footsteps from the 350 bus drop site, situated right on the river, and conveniently located near the rest of the city. The cafe next toor is great, Rowan Tree Hostel has several common areas, ample laundry, breakfast served from 7-10am,...

We stayed here last week and were unsure what to expect if I'm honest. Ennis is a nice town albeit would not have the reputation of Galway CIty etc. It's a hostel so we expected it to be more 'rough and ready' but it was so welcoming and professional. The service was excellent and the rooms were very nice (clean...

I don't know how they got the rating from the irish hostel board but its...

I loved this hostel. This was, by far, the best hostel that I've stayed at on my trip. The bed was clean and comfortable. The washroom was clean and big. I was in a 4 bed dorm and therefore appreciated the size of the room and privacy. I would definitely recommend staying here.
