I liked this hostel! It's Clean, airy, well located, good bed and shower, friendly staff, clean kitchen and normal breakfast. I certainly indicated. The only thing is I found it a bit expensive in the case of a hostel.

Beautiful setting from onset. Excellent customer service. Reception is warm and inviting. Food is delicious. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Love the interior, it's like an old big sitting room area. Timber floors and a huge oversize fireplace on one side. Beautiful rest for all occasions lunch dinner staff nights or romantic dinner for two. I've eaten here many... More

Excellent accommodation for tour groups, set in a beautiful 18th century hunting lodge. No group is too big or too small that they won't cater for. Staff are really helpful too, highly recommended if you're looking for a base from which to explore the southwest and west of Ireland.

Starting from our check in until the end of our stay, we have been amazed by this place! It's beautiful, new and well kept, clean all around and spacious! We have booked a double room but wow...even our own room back home is not as large as we have been treated with. The staff team go beyond their capabilities and... More

I always stay at the Rowan Tree hostel while visiting Ennis. They have dorms or private rooms. I chose the private room. The Rowan Tree is right near the center of town and an easy walk to visit the many shops and pubs in the area. While parking can be a bit difficult to arrange, you can find parking in... More

We (three boys, one girl) had a six bed dorm which was quite big. Stable beds. Unfortunately only two of them with a separate light. Water-tap a bit annoying. Clean, big bathroom. Friendly lounge with Gaelic sayings, incl. English translation and pronounciation, on the wall. Only one computer there, but always accessible. Nice, friendly well informed staff. CATHRYN, the next... More

The Rowan Tree Hostel was a lot bigger than I had imagined, but checking in and out was a breeze. The beds were nothing to write home about, but the whole place was very nice and clean. I would also like to give a big shoutout to the bar/restaurant staff: Conor, for being the super-est of visors (and for his... More

Had a horrible stay here, awful staff and awful facilities. Would avoid at all costs. Staff were very unfriendly and unpleasant from the start which set the tone for the rest of the stay. Will not be going back at any stage, worst hostel I've ever been to.
