We stayed here from Fri-Mon a couple of weeks ago. We were visiting family in S.Queensferry and this was a god option for being close to them but having our own space. We didn't book until the Friday afternoon so were pleased that the lodge was available and the owner was helpful and explained the lodge may be chilly when...

This is a fantastic secluded location for those looking to get away from it all. We stayed in Tunturi Lodge which has incredible views across the beautiful countryside. The lodge is not overlooked and there is no passing traffic so exceptionally quiet. There are lots of great walks and it is a great location for dog walking in particular. You...

Lovely location such a shame about lodge, could do with good clean and updating of furniture didnt think a garden table and chairs in lounge was a good idea Ikea do good priced furniture suggest a trip there would be good, disappointed wont be returning

We work hard to ensure the lodges are clean and are very disappointed to receive this comment but will always strive to ensure our guests feel comfortable. The table and chairs are high quality cedar and specifically designed to be able to be used inside and outside on the veranda. They cost and are significantly higher quality than Ikea.

I came to the Tunturi lodge a year ago (the review is in my history) and here are some things I’ve noted this year: General description of lodge The downstairs has a small entrance area, an open plan living room kitchen and dining space, a twin bedroom, a sauna, shower cubicle, toilet, and balcony. The upstairs is a bedroom with...

We had a great weekend staying at Tunturi lodge. The lodge was beautiful and spacious with the most amazing views from the floor to ceiling windows. Facilities were great and the beds were so comfortable! Location is really handy for getting our and about and there are trains every 10 mind or so from Linlithgow into Edinburgh centre. Would highly...

I was lucky enough to be treated to a weekend at the Tunturi Lodge as a birthday gift. The lodge is beautiful with stunning views. The kitchen was well equipped the only thing we could have done with was a bigger fridge freezer. The beds were comfortable, the lodge was cosy and the excellent free Wi-Fi was a bonus. The...

Clean and comfortable. Great view and charming decor. Road/ track leading to lodge not the best if you have a small car but it is a great place for a family break. The owners are very helpful. The lodge can easily be for 6 people but best for a family of four. The sauna is a bonus.

We arrived late for a weekend break. We booked for our granddaughters first birthday. Firstly the lodges looked a fair size on line , defiantly big enough for all four adults and a toddler and baby. NO NOT ALL ! The lodges are advertised to sleep 6, but when I phoned to book I was told it was £160.00 ....

We have clear sizes and pictures on the internet to make sure we don't receive this sort of review. The buildings are popular but not huge and we do not try to give the impression they are anything else. Obviously these clients were disappointed because they visited with an image of a larger building and consequently were not happy leading...

We spent quite a lot of time at the lodges and we really enjoyed them. The position is lovely: a nice wood almost at the top of the hill next to Linlithgow. The lodges themselves are totally fine, with almost everything you may need and a cosy, welcoming touch. Not too cold and not expensive at all to warm up....

“There's a bigger lodge - Tunturi - which I'd have boked if it had been free. But this was fine for four adults, pushed it with 5. Would be fine for a family with 3 kids.”

“I cannot comment if the other lodges are in the same state. They all seem to have nice outlooks. Lodge 8 is a small walk from the car park, so if you have kids/lots of stuff, you may want one closer to the parking.”
