I would not recommend this place at all after having had my dads funeral tea here on the 18/3/2017. Firstly, the soup was burnt, the sausage rolls were under-cooked and the scones were of low, cheap quality. Presentation of the food was terrible and everything was rushed out with no time in-between servings. Staff were inattentive and not great either...

Visited today for lunch - restaurant wasn't that busy but waited 50 minutes for food. When it did arrive , sorry to say was greasy and not that pleasant - there was 3 of us and none of us enjoyed it. There was a wedding Fayre on in one of the function suites so we thought maybe this contributed to...

I had family and friends visiting during christmas. Decided to take them here for evening food as its local. Lets start price good value. Food freshly make you can take its fresh and easily see not microwaved. Service friendly not pushy and not trying to oversell anything. If you want good quality at decent price then go here. If you...

Staff reasonable, tea and cakes, sandwiches reasonable. However after an initial serving of tea and coffee the actual tea urns and coffee dispensers disappeared. So only one cup. Umm! not so good for a socila occasion with some gravitas due to funeral.

Had to pay for our nights stay without even getting to check the room. Told room we were in and left to find it ourselves. On entering the room it looked run...

We booked our Christmas diner here for 9, 4 adults and 5 children I have to say it was excellent. The staff could not be more helpful and the meal was fantastic. They even went out of their way to make macaroni for one of the children who is a fussy eater. I will be booking again for next year...

Went here on 25 Dec with my family for Xmas dinner . What a complete waste of £250 !! It was the worst excuse for a Xmas dinner I have ever seen !! Veg soup looked like lentil ? , main consisted of couple slices of processed turkey , 1 chipolata , 2 roast potatoes (hard) 2 cheap potato croquettes...

Pate that looked old, dried up at the edges served with burnt toast! Slap-dash dinner of turkey, fatty stuffing, fatty chipolatas, dry boiled potatoes and a mountain of sweetcorn and a factory produced fruit tart for dessert - worse Christmas dinner ever. So why did I not complain when asked if everything was ok? Because I was being treated and...
