The welcome is a big smile, warm and very friendly, the atmosphere homely, the food fantastic and made to order just for you. The rooms are well furnished and beautifully decorated, with a hint of the Orient mixed with typical Scottish...

After a long car journey we stopped on spec at Canter Holm to enquire about vacancies. We were met by the landlady who had quite the broadest and most welcoming smile we have ever received from someone in this trade. The proprietor invited us into her home to view the rooms available. The guest house has a 'home from home'...

After Our Accomodation fell through at another Guest House in Ayr at 10pm my Dad and I were slightly panicked as to what we would do when the main strip of B & B's were all full! We were given directions to Canter Holm Guest House and certainly didnt have high expectations of anyone even answering the door as it...

The last night of our trip around Scotland was so disappointing having stayed in this guest house. The room we were shown to was so small and outdated and the bed was so uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small indeed. Seeing other bedrooms the next morning we were shocked at the decent size of them compared to ours. Parking was...

Clean bedding and room, what more can you want? Shared bathroom isn't ideal for everyone but sometimes you have to make do... The bathroom itself is massive with a large bath. The shower is a double and is more than adequate. Especially to wake you up after a night out on the town.. Very nice Chinese hospitality with a hint...
