Broke the journey to the North West ( Scotlands best part) with a night here. Would be good base for exploring this area too although only if can avoid the A9 and it's tiresome average speed cameras. Very friendly reception from hotel and bar staff Comfortable room too and the hotel is dog friendly which helps a lot. Plenty of...

A wonderful stay which we would love to repeat. The staff were friendly, made us very welcome, the food was delicious. Sophie and her team have everything spot on. Well done team! Looking forward to returning to this wee gem of a hotel, John and Jenny.

Firstly this review is 100% genuine. I have recently been here for a meal and found it to be very charming and welcoming. It has a nice upmarket ambience although its decor was striking but very old worlde and fits well into the area as a fishing and hunting hotel. My meal was a lovely fresh fish dish of stone...

Arrived at East Haugh House for a relaxing 2 day break and it definitely proved that as we could not fault one thing from the minute we arrived until we left. Attention to detail makes this a 5 star establishment. It's peaceful location is perfect for visiting Pitlochry and surrounding area. The house itself is like a country manor and...

The check in area was a little small, but the hotel is bursting with charm. We are a very oversized canopy bed room with a huge bathroom. We decided to eat in the hotel for dinner as well. We waited in the cozy lounge area and chatted with other guests. Once it was our time, we were led to the...

This is a small, privately owned hotel. Ideally located minutes from Pitlochry. It displays many awards from hotel inspectorate including TripAdvisor, and if we could we would add another. Food, service and comfort are excellent. Staff are always on hand to assist and help whatever. Their local knowledge is very good and they can advise on local walks, fishing shooting etc....

Everything about this 2 day break was perfect. Although we did upgrade, I don't think we would next time as hotel is so peaceful and all rooms will be comfortable. Food, both nights as we hoped it would be, delicious.Staff very friendly and cosy snug area to enjoy a pre dinner drink. All in all, ideal and we will be back

Have visited Pitlochry on many occasions but this was our first visit to East Haugh Small intimate hotel with a focus on good food and customer service we were not disappointed. Stayed in a lovely four poster room with large bathroom. Meals in conservatory dining room or bar were greatly appreciated with a good choice of dishes imaginatively prepared and...

Small but perfectly formed boutique hotel. Great base for exploring the highlands. Food exceptional, we dined both nights of our visit. Very romantic but also felt comfortable visiting with friends. Other guests friendly, felt like a country house weekend. Ask for East Haugh room, with its own fireplace!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
East Haugh House is a 4 star luxury boutique hotel based in Pitlochry, Perthshire just 1 hour from Edinburgh and 2 hours from Glasgow. Built originally as part of the Atholl Estate some 350 years ago, this family run hotel is a beautiful, turreted stone house situated off the old A9 road with beautiful woodland walks and easy access to Pitlochry. With 12 individually designed bedrooms, including three deluxe four-poster rooms (one with its own fireplace) and whirlpool bathrooms, along with a private Victorian Gate Lodge, East Haugh House is hailed as one of Scotland’s “hidden gems” with the “best food in the area”. We have a bar and a restaurant where our extensive a la carte menu is served. Be it for romance, culinary indulgence, fishing, shooting, hunting, golf, a wedding to truly remember or simply to escape the stresses of everyday life, use our access to the estates and rivers of Perthshire for a unique getaway in the Scottish highlands. We have access to some of the very best fishing on the river Tay and river Tummel and can book salmon fishing days enabling you to (hopefully!) catch that fish of a lifetime! ... more   less
